Mother of 13 gives birth to another set of 4 children in Zaria

A 34-year-old housewife, Hauwa’u Sulaiman, a mother of 13, gave birth to quadruplets at the Gambo Sawaba General Hospital, Zaria, on Friday, on June 5. Mrs Sulaiman told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Zaria that she had now been blessed with 17 children, adding that the set of the new quadruplets she was recently delivered of was her eighth delivery. The mother and the babies were transferred to the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) for better care after she had been delivered of her latest pregnancy. The Kaduna State Primary Health Care Development Agency (SPHCDA) said on Friday that 17, 989 cases of severe acute malnutrition were recorded in the state in 2017. Hajiya Hauwa Usman, a Nutritionist with the Agency made the disclosure in Zaria while presenting an overview of nutrition situation in the state at a workshop for journalists, organised by Kaduna State Emergency Nutrition Action Plan (KADENAP). Nigeria’s Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has just released the final report of four air crashes which occurred years back. Releasing the report at the headquarters of AIB some minutes ago, the Commissioner of the Bureau, Engineer Akin Olateru, said the reports were for the crashes which took place between 2009, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
