Gunmen abduct 50 Passengers in Niger state

Over 50 passengers have been abducted by unknown gunmen along the Tegina-Minna road in the Rafi Local Government of Niger State. The passengers who were in three vehicles, were abducted by the gunmen who blocked the road at Kundu town, a few kilometres from Zungeru town. Channels Television also reported that armed bandits kidnapped unknown numbers of villagers at Gidigori town in Rafi Local Government Area, burning five cars and carting away valuables. A senior government official who craved anonymity said nothing has been heard from the bandits to enable the authorities to know the identities of those kidnapped. This is coming less than three weeks after 40 NSTA passengers were kidnapped.

Qatar To Produce Electric Vehicles By 2023

Qatar on Monday said that the country had plans to produce first Qatari electric cars by 2023, local media reported. The Qatari electric vehicles will be manufactured by the factory which will be established at a cost of nine billion dollars, said “Qatar Tribune” newspaper. The project will be the first-of-its-kind in the Middle East as it is a whole new brand, said Ali al-Misnad, Chairman of the Qatar Quality company, which is responsible for this project. Al-Misnad also said that the new giant project aims to manufacture more than 500,000 cars by 2024 with plans to export the electric vehicles to countries all over the world.
