The 52-year-old was pronounced dead at 1.31 am EST on Wednesday at the Federal Correctional Complex in Terre Haute, Indiana in what could be the final federal execution under President Donald Trump. She was executed by lethal injection after an 11th-hour order from the Supreme Court cleared all legal hurdles to carry out her death sentence. Lisa is the 11th federal death row inmate to be executed during the Trump administration. She was found guilty of federal kidnapping resulting in death and sentenced to death in 2007 for the slaying of mother-to-be. UK court rejects Assange’s extradition to US

A British judge on Monday blocked WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange's extradition to the United States to face espionage charges, finding he was at serious risk of suicide. District Judge Vanessa Baraitser said the 49-year-old Australian publisher faced "oppressive" conditions in maximum-security isolation if detained in the US. In court, Assange wiped his forehead as the decision was announced while his fiancee Stella Moris burst into tears and was embraced by WikiLeaks editor-in-chief Kristinn Hrafnsson. Outside the Old Bailey court in central London, his supporters who had gathered since early morning erupted in cheers and shouted "Free Assange!" Assange and his legal team have long argued that the protracted case, which has become a cause celebre for media freedom, was polit...

Save USA From Coronavirus, Not Make Threats – Iranian General Tells Trump

Iran’s military spokesman on Wednesday said US President Donald Trump should concentrate on “saving” his own country from the “major crisis” caused by coronavirus, instead of making threats. “Today, instead of intimidating others, the Americans would do better to save their troops infected by the coronavirus,” said Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesman for Iran’s armed forces. His comments, in an interview with the semi-official ISNA news agency, came after Trump said on Twitter he had “instructed the United States Navy to shoot down and destroy any and all Iranian gunboats if they harass our ships at sea”. The Pentagon later said the US military considered the tweet a message to the Iranian regime, suggesting that no new orders had been issued to US Navy ships patro...

Approx 200 - 300 people have protested thus far and none of protestors can be seen wearing cloth face masks at the gathering. It also appears the recommended six-foot social distancing guideline to prevent the spread of the virus was largely ignored. People are sick and tired of having their constitutional rights being stripped away for a virus more similar to the common Flu and not as deadly as it's being portrayed. More doctors are likely to leave Nigeria as coronavirus (COVID-19) gets worse in the United States of America. As the COVID-19 pandemic takes its toll across the globe, health officials in the US had warned that the country’s coronavirus death toll could rise above 100,000 people. As a result of this development, instead of shutting its door against migrants as it did previously, America is luring foreign medical professionals seeking to work in their country. Following reports in March that US was inviting medical professionals from other parts of the world, including Nigeria, to help in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, which has claimed thousands of lives in that coun...

USA Approves 5-Minute Test For Coronavirus

A USA company, Abbott, has received authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the fastest available molecular point-of-care test for the detection of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), delivering positive results in as little as five minutes and negative results in 13 minutes. What makes this test so different is where it can be used: outside the four walls of a traditional hospital such as in the physicians' office or urgent care clinics. The test runs on a lightweight box (6.6 pounds and the size of a small toaster) that can sit in a variety of locations. Because of its small size, it can be used in more non-traditional places where people can have their results in a matter of minutes. They are ramping up production to deliver 50,000 ID NOW COVID-19 tests pe...

I had a terrible stomach condition, which the doctors were worried about as it was considered close to the cancer of the stomach. Surgery was considered as an immediate option. But along the line, I didn’t do the surgery. So, I was placed on medications to see if it could alter. I’m now relieved and back to work, back to music; though I’m still on regular checkups. The only worry now is my children who all stay in America. We insisted that I should wait till they return to take me so I can do the surgery in America. Either of them should be here to pick me. That apart, I’m up; my music looks good and the future has a good smile. How old are your children...

The Reds got their first look at Harvey Elliott on Sunday, but that was where the positive news began and ended. Just as they had during their recent tour of the USA, Jurgen Klopp’s side looked short in just about every area.
