Tipper Crushes 2 To Death In Anambra, Injures 6

A 911 Tipper vehicle with Registration XA445NSK, driven by one Okafor Patrick Ndubuisi, has crushed two persons to death and injured six in Onitsha, Anambra State business hub, just a few days after a similar accident had claimed seven lives. Daily Trust gathered that the driver lost control as a result of brake failure and rammed into a motor park, killing two and leaving about six persons with varying degrees of injuries. The accident is coming barely one week when a similar fatal road crash within the area claimed six lives and injured six others. Two People Killed in Road Accident at Anambra

Two persons were confirmed dead while 13 others were injured in an accident involving a lorry and a commercial bus that occurred along Ihiala axis of the Onitsha-Owerri Expressway in Anambra today Friday, May 22. The Anambra state Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Andrew Kumapayi,  confirmed the incident and said the accident occurred at about 7.10am this morning. “According to reports, the crash involved a tipper without registration number and a commercial bus with registration number NEN-59XQ. An eyewitness told us that the tipper driver was negotiating into his house when the bus suddenly rammed into it. Five members of staff of Okomu Oil plc, in Edo State were on Friday evening burnt to death in a road crash that occurred along Benin/Iguobazuwa road, in Ovia South-West local government area of the State. The accident occurred when the bus conveying the victims from Extension 2 farm of the firm to the head office of the company at Okomu community, rammed into a lorry that crossed the road. Sokoto FRSC Introduces Night Patrols, Other Measures For Safety To Curb Accidents – Hamzat

The Sokoto Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Cops (FRSC), Muhammad Hamzat Sani says the command has rejuvenated its operations by introducing night patrols and other monitoring measures to ensure safety and accident control on roads in the state. Five Dead As Tipper Crashes On Three Commercial Buses In Anambra

No fewer than five persons have been confirmed dead in a fatal accident that took place at Down bridge, Obosi in Anambra state this morning. According to an eyewitness, a heavy-duty vehicle popularly known as Tipper ran into three buses that were picking up passengers at down bridge Obosi and two other private vehicles, killing five persons on the spot. The remains of the deceased persons have been deposited at the morgue while the injured persons are receiving medical attention at the state hospital. May their souls rest in peace.
