Sowore Appeals Bail Condition Which Restricts his Movement Only Around Abuja

#RevolutionNow convener, Omoyele Sowore has appealed the bail condition which restricts his movement only around Abuja. Recall that Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu had imposed a N100m bail bond on Sowore who was arrested on charges of treason, money laundering and insulting the president in 2019. She subsequently reduced Sowore’s bail from N100m to N50m, and further directed that he must produce sureties who reside in Abuja and must also have landed property worth the bail sum in Abuja. The activist was also directed to deposit his passport with the registry of the federal high court in Abuja, and also barred him from travelling outside Abuja pending the period of the trial. CBN Restricts Milk Importation To Six Companies

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has added milk and dairy products to the list of items not eligible for forex. Onyema’s Case Goes Tough As EFCC Seizes His Passports, Restricts His Movement

On the 23rd of November, 2019, Allen Ifechukwu Athan Onyema, the Chairman of Air Peace was charged with 27 counts of money laundering by one U.S. Attorney Byung J. “BJay” Pak. INEC Restricts Military Participation In Bayelsa, Kogi Gov Elections To Patrol

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) yesterday said that the military would not be involved at the polling boot security, except on the invitation of the lead security agency, the Nigeria Police. Consequently, said the commission, the military would only patrol as a standby force in case of trouble beyond the control of the internal security forces. The commission clarified that the Nigeria Navy and the Nigeria Air Force have been selected for a special duty of airlifting sensitive electoral materials and protection of the INEC staff in Bayelsa State, but ruled out their presence of the Nigeria army completely within the polling areas.
