Sade Ale, wife of Olugbenga Ale, chief of staff to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state has regained freedom.   We reported earlier that Sade who was returning from a business trip to Lagos, was abducted at Owena in Idanre local government area of the state on Thursday night alongside her driver and another woman.   It was gathered that she was released on Saturday morning after the hunters and other security agencies got to the location where the kidnappers kept their victims.   The Nation reported that some suspects have been arrested in relation to the kidnapping. Mompha Regains Freedom From EFCC Custody

Internet celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha, alias Mompha, was on Wednesday released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He was released on bail about two weeks after he was re-arrested by the anti-graft agency in Lagos. His lawyer, Gboyega Oyewole, said Mompha had withdrawn the N5 million fundamental rights suit he filed against the EFCC to challenge his re-arrest. Ekiti State Commissioner for Agriculture, Olabode Folorunso, who was abducted by unknown gunmen last week, has regained freedom from his abductors. The commissioner was kidnapped last week Sunday along Isan-Iludun road, by unknown gunmen. Mompha who was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on 14 counts bordering on fraud, money laundering and running a foreign exchange business without the authorisation of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), was granted a N100m bail on Friday, November 29. A South African man snatched from his hotel and held hostage by Al-Qaeda in Mali since 2011 has been freed, his country’s foreign minister said on Thursday. Stephen McGown, 42, was grabbed from his accommodation in the historic trading city of Timbuktu in Mali’s north along with Swede Johan Gustafsson and Dutchman Sjaak Rijke, both of whom were both subsequently released.
