Two People Killed in Road Accident at Anambra

Two persons were confirmed dead while 13 others were injured in an accident involving a lorry and a commercial bus that occurred along Ihiala axis of the Onitsha-Owerri Expressway in Anambra today Friday, May 22. Photos of one of the corps member who died in a fatal accident which occurred along the Ajaokuta-Lokoja expressway in Kogi State, has been shared on social media by his friends. Comrade Sanni Saliu, a graduate of the Kogi State Polytechnic, was travelling home from Umuahia, Abia State, with another corps member when a trailer rammed into their car, killing them instantly. It has been reported that the other victim is Saliu's brother. Friends have gone on Facebook to mourn the corps member.

Truck Driver Crushes 3 Women to Death in Rivers State

A hit and run truck driver in the early hours of Wednesday crushed three women to death at Oyigbo in Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State. The incident occurred at the popular Ukwube market where hundreds of women converted some part of the road as a makeshift stall to display their wares. About 24 people have been burnt beyond recognition in a fatal auto accident at Gwamfai village in Jahun Local Government Area of Jigawa State. According to The Nation, five staff of Okomu Oil plc in Edo State have been burnt to death in a road accident that occured along Iguobazuwa road in Ovia South West local government area. Two others were critically injured and currently receiving treatment. All Passengers Perish as Tipper Lorry Rams into Bus in Enugu

All passengers in a Commuter bus going to Enugu from Kaduna were on Monday killed following a collision with a tipper lorry at Opi-Nsukka, Enugu State. Eye witness report said the back tyres of the tipper which was conveying sand in the opposite direction pulled out of the lorry and rammed into the oncoming bus. A a four-year-old boy, Segun Egunbambi, has died after he was knocked down by a car inside his parents’ compound on Aduragbemi Street, Alagbado area of Lagos State. The Toyota Camry car, with the number plate, KTU 242 FC, was driven by one Adenowo Adeyiga who was said to be returning home from Ijegun when his car had a brake failure and lost control. Drunk Man Rams into convoy of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Tukur Buratai

The convoy of  the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, was involved in an accident in Kaduna state last night. A statement from the Army says the official staff car had an accident at Jere town on the way to Kaduna. A man who was under the influence of alcohol, veered off his lane and rammed into the staff car. The COAS was not in the car. However, the ADC sustained minor injuries and has been evacuated to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The driver of the car that rammed into the convoy of the Army chief is presently receiving medical attention at a Nigerian Army Medical facility.
