The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has advocated life imprisonment for convicted rapists. The body said such a penalty would curb the criminal act. A potential vaccine against the killer coronavirus could be tested on animals as soon as next week in a breakthrough in the global fight against the outbreak. Hundreds of experts are set to meet in Geneva next week to set research and development priorities for coronavirus drugs, diagnostics and vaccines, the World Health Organization (WHO) said today. Authorities in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates have arrested a yet to be identified African who attempted to smuggle 297 grams of raw diamonds in his gut, the way cocaine or heroine is smuggled.
