Police Arrest Perpetrators Of Abayi Police Station Attack

The Police in Abia State Command successfully neutralised (4) four attackers, arrested (8) eight persons and recovered arms and ammunition from hoodlums who carried out an unprovoked attack on Abayi Police Station, Aba in Osisioma Ngwa LGA of Abia State in the early hours of 23rd February, 2021. It is worth noting that the hoodlums numbering about two hundred persons, armed with AK47 rifles and matchetes invaded the station and set part of it ablaze with the aid of petrol bombs and other explosives. Following the attack, two officers, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Vincent Gonze and Sergeant Emmanuel Okoronkwo unfortunately paid the supreme price. Police recover body of one of its informants in Lagos ocean

Police officers at the Akodo Police Station have recovered the body of an informant, Wale Kalejaiye, who went missing during an attack on police personnel in the Akodo area of Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State.   According to reports, Kalejaiye last week Monday, led a team of police officers to the community to arrest some suspected hoodlums notorious for terrorizing residents of the area. Men of the Lagos state police command have arrested two notorious suspects who specialise in car snatching and stealing vehicles from parking spaces in churches. A statement from the state police command spokesperson, Bala Elkana, gave the names of the suspects as Bamidele Adebayo ‘m' and Hakeem Taofik ‘m'. According to Bala, on January 18th, the suspects stole a Toyota corola saloon car at a church in Shagari Estate Ipaja and moved the vehicle to Ijagba village in Sango Ota, Ogun State.
