Chelsea capable of winning the Premier League – Ezeji

The Blues have been the busiest of all English top-flight sides in the summer transfer window Ex-Chelsea striker Victor Ezeji believes the Blues can win the Premier League this season following their plethora of signings in the transfer window. The London side were unable to spend during the last summer window due to a ban by Fifa, which found them guilty of a serious and systemic breach of the rules regarding their dealings with overseas players under the age of 18. It was, however, lifted this January after winning an appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sports.

The Super Eagles have been beset by a plethora of injuries in recent times, but have been handed some good news ahead of their tie against Guinea Samuel Kalu has handed Gernot Rohr a selection boost ahead of Nigeria’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations clash against Guinea. The Bordeaux man returned to training with the Super Eagles on Tuesday, four days after collapsing in training owing to dehydration. Kalu was given the all-clear to return to the squad, with Nigeria running series of tests at a hospital in Cairo.

PDP Dismisses APC’s Claim on Atiku’s Citizenship as Diversionary

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sunday dismissed as reckless and groundless the claims made by the All Progressives Congress (APC) that its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is a Cameroonian. It also said the claim was a calculated attempt by the APC to trivialize and divert attention from the compelling issue of their criminal rigging of the 2019 presidential election. PDP spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement, said it was a disingenuous claim designed by the APC to overburden, distract and bog down the presidential election petition tribunal with trivialities, lies and falsehood, so as to derail the course of justice.
