Jealous Wife Set Herself On Fire In Kano After Husband Married A Second Wife (Graphic Photo)

A housewife, Rabi have allegedly set herself ablaze over jealousy and rivalry in Gayawa area, Ungogo Local government area of Kano State. It was gathered that Rabi’s husband, Badamasi married another wife some times back and this didn’t go down well with Rabi leading to her action to set herself ablaze. The action of Rabi has put her relatives in the state of mourning as they expressed unhappiness with the circumstances surrounding her death. When contacted, the spokesperson of the police, DSP Abdullahi Haruna told our reporter he was trying to make an inquiry from the Divisional Police Officer, DPO of the area. However, as at the time of filing this report, DSP Haruna is yet to issue any official statement on the incident.

A seventeen years old girl identified as Aisha living in Albarkawa area in Gusau metropolis in Zamfara state on Sunday set her self ablaze owing to her fiance’s inability to marry her due to his poor finances. Aisha’s neighbour told Daily Trust that she decided to commit suicide after she learnt that her fiance who dated her for quite a long time has no money to pay for dowry in preparation for her wedding. A.O Subair, University Of Ibadan Maths Lecturer Commits Suicide, Set Self On Fire

A lecturer II in the Department of Mathematics, University of Ibadan has reportedly committed suicide. The don, identified as A.O Subair set himself on fire on Monday afternoon in his senior staff quarters located at Phillipson Road of the University. He has been buried at Akinyele public cemetery. It was gathered that the late lecturer had recently resigned from the university without a justifiable reason but was yet to pack out of the staff quarters before he took his life.
