NIMC Staff Allegedly Selling NIN Enrollment Form For N500 To Applicants

Some staff of the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, have been discovered to be allegedly selling forms for NIN registration in Makurdi, Benue State. We investigation reveals that the forms are sold to applicants at the rate of N500 each at the NIMC head office on Jonah Jang Crescent, Makurdi, Benue State. Our correspondent observed that copies of the forms applicants are compelled to purchase are stamped with the signature of a NIMC staff while the one without those appendages are rejected. A resident, Ahijo Ahire whose son was asked to obtain the form at the rate of N500 despite having the one given to him earlier corroborated our correspondent’s observation. There was a fire outbreak at the Nigeria Immigration Service headquarters in Abuja today January 10. The Service disclosed this in a statement on its official Twitter handle this morning. According to the service, the fire affected some of the offices in the headquarters.   The tweet reads ''A fire incident occurred in our Service Headquarters this Morning. Judicial workers to begin strike Monday

Lagos state government has ordered the closure of all banks, offices, markets and courts in the state effective from Thursday. IGP Adamu Scraps SARS Satellite Offices

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abubakar Adamu, on Tuesday, ordered the closure of all Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) satellite offices. The directive followed Monday’s protests in Sagamu against SARS. The people had marched against the killing of Remo Stars Football Club player, Tiamiyu Kazeem aka Kaka, in Ogun State. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has debunked the trending fake news of an impending review of pump prices of petroleum products, especially petrol. A statement Tuesday in Abuja by the NNPC Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs, Mr. Ndu Ughamadu, affirmed that contrary to the misinformation in the social media, the federal government has no plan to review prices of petroleum products either downwards or upwards.
