Many sex workers were stranded on Wednesday, September 16, when the Federal Capital Territory Administration demolished a popular brothel, Chris Garden and Guest Inn, at Dakibiu, Jabi, a suburb of Abuja.   It was reported that owners and occupants of structures in the community had been given demolition notices asking them to vacate. 5 dead, 2 Injured in Enugu Road Accident – FRSC

At least 5 people lost their lives and 2 were seriously injured in a fatal accident on the Nsukka-Obollo road in Enugu State. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander in the state, Mr Ogbonnaya Kalu said the accident occurred on Friday, July 10, at Kpokpo junction, by Micho Link Filling Station. He said there were two injured people at the scene and FRSC officials took them to the hospital. He added that the accident was caused by wrong overtaking by a green Toyota Sienna. He said the wrong overtaking led to a head on collision with a truck loaded with fertiliser. All 5 occupants of the Toyota Sienna died. The Police in Enugu State says it has arrested two notorious armed robbery suspects and recovered arms as part of efforts to curb criminal activities in the state. At least 10 bank robbers were shot dead on Thursday, after Brazilian military police busted a gang trying to blow up ATM machines near Sao Paulo.
