New Visa Policy For Nigerians Traveling To Indonesia, NDLEA To Be Involved

Nigerians with new passports seeking to travel to Indonesia will need to present a certificate of recommendation from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, among other documents to process their visas. Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, Harry Purwanto, who told the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja on Monday, said the new visa policy was in line with global measures to promote safety for its citizens. He said the visa conditionals were reviewed in October 2016. He, however, said it was easier for those with frequently used passports to get visas. He explained that applicants seeking to travel to Indonesia also need to be invited or have certain recommendations to visit that country. NDLEA Discovers Cocaine Inside Passengers’ Boxers, Luggage

Officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos have discovered cocaine hidden inside the boxer shorts and luggage of a passenger. Two suspected drug traffickers, jewellery and auto parts dealers have been apprehended in connection with unlawful importation of narcotics. The suspects according to the Agency are Okonkwo Godwin, 57, an importer of jewellery found with cocaine in his boxer shorts and Nnaemeka David Chinedu, 37, an auto parts dealer who ingested 94 wraps of heroin. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have apprehended a suspect at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, over 26.2kg of ephedrine found in female foot wears. . The Kogi State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has arrested a serving police inspector with a police truck loaded with 75 bags of substances suspected to be cannabis. Forty-three-year-old Abali Zagi was among the 14 suspected drug peddlers paraded on Monday at the Kogi State Command of the NDLEA.
