The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has said that the recent attacks on law-abiding Fulanis in the southern part of the country needs to stop as it will be setting the whole country on a dangerous path. Recall that there have been calls for the Fulani herdsmen in some South Western and South Eastern states to vacate the area over claims that they have continuously masterminded crimes in the region. Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho, recently issued an ultimatum to Fulani herders in Ibarapa local government area of Oyo state. 2 Bandits’ Informants In Katsina Confess To Have Masterminded Kidnappings

Two suspected informants of bandits terrorising Dutsinma local government area of Katsina State, Bilyaminu Ma’aruf and Sani Umaru, have been arrested by operatives of the police. Spokesperson of the Katsina State Police Command, SP Gambo Isah while parading the suspects at the police headquarters on Friday said they were arrested following a tip-off. SP Isah said the suspects upon investigation have confessed to have masterminded the kidnappings of so many residents of the area. The Nigeria Police Force in Cross River State, has confirmed the arrest of 80 hoodlums including the mastermind of Calabar International Conference Centre, CICC looting.
