Champions League:Lewandowski Becomes Third Top Scorer

Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski, is now the third top scorer of all time in the Champions League. In doing so, he surpassed former Real Madrid striker Raul Gonzalez in the competition scoring charts. Lewandowski is now only behind Cristiano Ronaldo (134) and Lionel Messi (119). Bayern’s 17-year-old midfielder Jamal Musiala doubled their advantage, making him the youngest English player to score in the competition. Leroy Sane and a Francesco Acerbi own goal stretched the Bundesliga champions’ advantage early in the second half, before Joaquin Correa pulled one back. Fantasy Football: De Bruyne Dominate Goal’s Team Of The Week

Manchester City continued to be ruthless this week scoring an absurd seven goals against Stoke. This is obviously reflected in our Team of the Week as three of their midfielders are included, and it could have been even more with at least one of them being involved in every goal on Saturday. GK: David De Gea - Manchester United - 1 Game, 5 Saves, 1 Clean Sheet = 9 Points DF: Isaac Hayden - Newcastle - 1 Game, 1 Goal, 2 Goals Conceded = 7 Points Hayden was definitely the biggest surprise package this week, popping up with a wonderful goal against Southampton. He is currently playing in the midfield next to Jonjo Shelvey and, as such, could have extra value as a defender playing further up the pitch. Manchester City Star Sane Sends Message To Guardiola Following West Brom Showing

Manchester City forward Leroy Sane was pleased to give Pep Guardiola a timely reminder of his talents with a match-winning display in the 2-1 EFL Cup victory at West Brom. "Every player wants to play in the f...

15 Goals & 0 Conceded In Last 3 Games, Guardiola Football Has Finally Arrived At City

This was a masterclass, the kind of orchestral exhibition for which Pep Guardiola is famed. Last season, there were moments that implied we may witness greatness from Guardiola's City, notably a first-half performance at Old Trafford during a splendid start to the campaign. Yet cracks began to emerge and vulnerabilities arose in City's armoury. The ability to spend £200m in a summer transfer window helps, of course, and the acquisitions of Ederson in the City goal and the powerful and dynamic full-backs Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy have transformed City from contenders to favourites. On the bench, the talent of Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane watched on, while the German Ilkay Gundogan is also back on the scene. The depth of quality is staggering and it is probably a good thing for the c...
