The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has said the state will not provide land for ranching as it believes it is a private business. Makinde said this to clarify a tweet in which he revealed that Oyo State will adopt the National Livestock Transformation Plan which is already being implemented in Kwara State. I Would Invest in Lands and Houses Instead of Designer Clothes – Teni

Nigerian singer, Teni has stated that she would rather invest her money in houses and lands instead of spending it on designer clothes. This she did in response to a Twitter user who stated that most celebrities in Nigeria can’t afford real designer clothes. He tweeted: Most Nigerian celebs can’t afford real designers. I said what I said. In reaction, Teni whose dress concept gets heavily criticized, revealed that most can actually afford such but would rather spend it on assets that appreciate in life. ‘some can, but they’ll rather buy houses, lands and invest in something their generations can benefit from’, she tweeted.

ICPC Moves to Seize Properties Worth N264m From 3 Civil Servants Working in Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has moved to seize plots of land and duplexes which values have been put at over N264 million from three civil servants working in the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs. The properties, which are owned by Poloma Kabiru Nuhu, Mangset Longyl Dickson and Daniel Obah, currently under investigation by the Commission include 19 plots of land, 10 hectares of farm land and two duplexes, spread around Abuja and three towns in Rivers State. Ibom Air To Land Uyo Tomorrow

Governor Udom Emmanuel will tomorrow receive two of the three aircrafts acquired for the state airline, Ibom Air. This disclosure was made during during a consultation visit to former Governor Victor Attah in his Shelter Afrique residence in Uyo. The Governor said the aircrafts which will soon commence commercial activities to Lagos and Abuja have currently landed in Lagos for necessary clearance from the nation's air authorities. Ethiopian Airline Unable To Land In Enugu Makes U-turn To Ethiopia

An Ethiopian international flight which could not land at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu on Sunday due to bad weather, was forced to make a quick u-turn and flew back to Ethiopia, according to Dailytrust. The bad weather was occasioned by the harmattan season. The Ethiopian international flight was scheduled to land at the Akanu Ibiam airport by 3pm but when it got there it was not safe and proper for landing, hence it made quick ‘u-turn’ and flew back to Ethiopia. The passengers were said to have protested, but their safety and life meant more to the Airport authority and the Ethiopian Airline who later checked all the passengers into a hotel in Ethiopia, according to the airport official.

A 29-year-old sex worker, Beauty Tagbami, is facing trial at an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly cutting the face of her colleague with a razor blade.
