N848m, $1.5m Scandals In Nigerian Foreign Affairs Office In Israel
More than N1.4 billion scandal is currently rocking the officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
This is even as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, has been indicted by the report of the Auditor General of federation, Anthony Ayine.
Specifically, the officials have been fingered in alleged financial scandal of N848 million and $1.5 million respectively.
The alleged financial fraud was uncovered by the Senate Committee on Public Account, chaired by Senator Mathew Urhoghide.
Angered by financial recklessness of the embassy in Tel-Aviv, the Chairman of Senate Committee on Public Account, directed that the former permanent secretary in the Ministry must be compelled to account for the mismanaged funds in the Ministry.
