Adamawa Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri Vows To Demolish Houses Containing Looted Goods

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has given 12 hours to looters to return their loot or houses containing such goods will be demolished. The governor, who made a broadcast Tuesday evening amid a 24-hour curfew he imposed earlier on Sunday following looting of government and private warehouses by thugs who went wild in the guise of End SARS protests, said the havoc done by the thugs especially mass looting around the state capital, Yola, was horrendous. Rice Miller Loses N188m Goods In Adamawa As Hoodlums Loot Warehouse

A rice miller in Adamawa State has cried out for succour after thugs broke into his mill and carted away bags of parboiled and white rice valued at N188,465,000. Alhaji Mohammed Shemad, Chief Executive Officer of Shemad Concept Nigeria Ltd, told newsmen Monday morning that the thugs forced their way into his rice mill located at Bakin Kogi, a riverside community in Yola North local government area (LGA), and removed all the 10,615 bags of rice that had been processed. Fire Razes 23 Shops in Kwara Market

About 23 shops and goods believed to worth millions of Naira were destroyed in a fire incident yesterday March 17 at Owode market in Offa, Kwara State. The fire reportedly started by 1a.m, however the arrival of firefighters prevented the inferno from spreading to other shops and houses in the vicinity. The Head, Media and Publicity of the Kwara State Fire Service, Hassan Hakeem Adekunle who confirmed the incident said it is suspected an electric spark caused the incident. Fire guts Otukpo Main Market in Benue

Shops and goods worth millions of Naira were destroyed after fire gutted Otukpo Main Market in the early hours of today March 16. Federal Fire Service said they arrived at the scene at 4am today to combat the inferno. @Fedfireng tweeted: "At exactly 4:00 hours, today 16/03/2020, Men of the Federal Fire Service, Zone A division, turned out to combat a raging inferno at the Main Market, Otukpo, Benue State. A Nigerian man has cried out for help in a viral video after allegedly being held hostage by some unidentified persons in Pakistan. The distraught man who was spotted being flogged in the video, disclosed that he is being held against his will over the refusal of one Paul a.k.a Onye Eze to pay for goods delivered to him. The Nigerian man further revealed that his oppressors threatened to cut off some of his body parts in a bid to force Onye Eze to pay for the goods. At the end of his short video, he promised never to forgive Onye Eze if he is killed in the foreign country. His current state is however unclear at the time of filing this report.

Chidiebere Onwudiwe, a member of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB), on Wednesday, told the Federal High Court, Abuja that officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) allegedly electrocuted him while was in their custody. Onwudiwe was testifying as a witness in the trial-within-trial ordered by the court to ascertain the veracity of his claim that DSS officials coerced him to give them a statement.
