Trump’s Twitter Ban: We Showed “Failure” To Police Global Public Discourse – Jack

Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey has for the first time publicly reacted to the suspension of President Donald Trump's twitter account. Dorsey, while defending the suspension, conceded that it was done in a manner that undermined public discussion; a divisive and dangerous action that could set an unexpected and inappropriate precedent for free speech, one he has been a long-standing supporter for. Many have questioned the decision by big tech giants, Twitter and Facebook to suspend President Trump's accounts, including: German President Angela Merkel, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador of Mexico, renowned neurosurgeon Ben Carson and virulent Putin critic, Alexey Navalny. I do not celebrate or feel pride in our having to ban @realDonaldTrump from Twitter, or how we got here. After a ...

The World Players Association said he had been "unjustly targeted" for taking part in the protests, and called for Iran's expulsion from world sport if it went ahead with the execution.
