Don Jazzy Speaks Tough On The Detention Of Sowore

The thoughts of popular and successful Nigeria music producer, Don Jazzy on the detention of the Presidential Candidate for the AAC in the February, 2019 Election surfaced online and was captured by Igberetv. It reads: "This dangerous precedent of stifling opposition voices and dissenting opinions has survived enough. Let's not pretend our nascent democracy isn't being sabotaged when citizens shudder at the thought of people they elected into power. I plead for Sowore #FreeSowore" Recall that Omoyele Sowore was arrested by the DSS on 3rd August, 2019, after he planned a protest for the revolution of the Nigerian government.

Sowore Is Sick, Being Denied Treatment – Deji Adeyanju

Activist and Convener of Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju has revealed that Sahara Reporters Publisher and Former AAC Presidential Candidate, Omoyele Sowore is sick and reportedly being denied treatment. We earlier reported that Sowore has been in detention ever since his arrest by the Department of State Security Service, DSS on August 3rd. Adeyanju, in a statement via his Facebook page, revealed that Sowore was not in good health. He wrote;"Just got news about Sowore. He is sick and they are denying him medical care. Is this fair? Sowore is a hero. How can you treat the nation’s heroes this way then give Bandits & terrorists VIP treatments? #FreeSowore"

#freesowore: 53 Rights Organizations To Hold Rally Demanding Sowore’s Release

About 53 non-governmental organizations under the aegis of Coalition of Human and Civil Rights Organizations (COHCRO) are set to hold a protest calling for the release of Omoyele Sowore, an opponent of President Muhammadu Buhari in the last presidential election. Sowore was arrested on August 3 by the Nigerian secret police, the Department of State Services (DSS) and has been in detention since then.
