Tanker goes up in flames on Magboro Bridge outward Lagos-Ibadan Expressway (video)

A fuel tanker caught fire on the Magboro Bridge outward the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.   The incident happened early Wednesday, Dec 2, and caused gridlock at the location.       According to reports, the fuel being conveyed by the tanker had spilled to the other side of the expressway, leading inward to Lagos.   Firefighters have arrived at the scene of the fire outbreak.   Commuters have been advised to take alternate routes or cancel their trips.

About 23 shops and goods believed to worth millions of Naira were destroyed in a fire incident yesterday March 17 at Owode market in Offa, Kwara State. The fire reportedly started by 1a.m, however the arrival of firefighters prevented the inferno from spreading to other shops and houses in the vicinity. Fire Razes Parts of Owerri Airport

A fire outbreak suspected to be as a result of bushfire, has been reported at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, Imo State. The cause of the fire is still unknown but the General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, described it as a bush fire. In a statememt she released this evening, Yakubu said firefighters are currently working to control the spread of the fire.  She added that the incident did not affect flight operations.

The incident unfolded in the 300 block of East 17th Street in Santa Ana, CBS Los Angeles reports. The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) said the driver hit a center divider, catapulting the vehicle into the air.
