Man Utd to Move for Raheem Sterling if Man City Receive Champions League Ban

Manchester United are plotting a shock move for Raheem Sterling, if Manchester City fail in the appeal against a two-year ban from the Champions League, the UK Independent reports. UEFA imposed the punishment on City in February, after finding the Etihad club guilty of breaching Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations. However, City will begin their appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) from Monday, June 8. City risk losing some of their big players, if they lose their appeal and their suspension is upheld. Sterling is one of such players that could dump the Premier League champions and has already been linked with a move to Real Madrid. While a transfer appears unlikely, United are also monitoring the situation and would make a move for the 25-year-old if he ...

Steven Gerrard Responds To Manchester City Possibly Having Title Stripped

Steven Gerrard has revealed he's 'really interested' to see what punishment the Premier League might give Manchester City if the current champions fail to overturn their ban by UEFA. On Friday City were banned by UEFA for two years from European competition for Financial Fair Play breaches, subject to appeal from the club, and on the weekend there were reports the Premier League could also hand out a punishment. Included in the options for the league is a retrospective points deduction that could see them lose the 2013/14 title and then hand it to Liverpool, something that is certainly interesting to Gerrard. "We will wait and see. From a UEFA point of view, it is a real strong sentence or punishment," the Rangers manager told reporters. "I'm sure they will appeal so we will wai...

However, the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss wants to show loyalty to the club, where he has spent four years. That could mean Guardiola will not manage a team in Europe’s elite club competition for the first time in his career. City are however heading to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), in a bi...
