Shina Peller To Sponsor Education Of Daughter Of A Soldier Killed In Warfront

Remembrance Day: Shina Peller To Sponsor Education Of Fallen Hero's Child Yesterday, I paid a condolence visit to the family of the fallen Iseyin-born brave soldier, Ismail Ishola Ojeke, who was killed at warfront alongside his colleagues in Borno State while trying to defend our country and Nigerians from terrorist attacks. I met and shared words of encouragement with his parent, wife and other close members of the family on the demise of this courageous son of ours. In my own little way of immortalizing the departed soldier, I have decided to give scholarship to the only child, Hanat Ogunbiyi, that he has left behind. May God grant Ismail and other departed soldiers an eternal rest and give their family the fortitude to bear their loss.

The Sad Story Of Almajiri Children In Harmattan

Usman was shivering from cold. The eight-year-old had no protective garb to shield him against the freezing weather. He wore tattered clothes that hardly offer any protection against the severe cold as he sat at a corner of a street in Sokoto metropolis struggling with the chilly wind. Usman is one of the several young panhandlers with bowls that roam the streets. Usually moving in clusters of at least three, they wear torn clothes and look unkempt having had to trek several dusty streets without shoes. With the extreme cold weather in Nigeria, Usman as several others, who left their families to acquire Islamic education in schools, sleep in the open while some barely have clothes on as they move from place to place, begging to sustain themselves. Some of the children, called almaji...
