National Assembly Can’t Deliver New Constitution – Omo-Agege

Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, has urged Nigerians not to engage in wishful thinking that the 9th National Assembly would deliver a new constitution, saying it lacks the mandate to do so. According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yomi Odunuga, Omo-Agege made the comment when he hosted members of the Alliance of Nigerian Patriots led by Ambassador Umunna Orjiako in Abuja. 71-Yr Old Man, 10 Others Arrested For Diverting And Selling N40m Goods For N5m

A 71-year old man, Peter Othormor, and 10 others have been arrested by operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FSARS, Lagos Island, Lagos, for allegedly diverting goods worth N40 million - entrusted in their care to deliver to a customer in Abuja - to Ibadan to sell. The suspects were arrested while offloading the goods for the alleged buyer, Abass Buhari, from Kaduna State for N5 million. Other suspects involved in the alleged crime include Lawal Yusuf, 61; Adewale John, 43, Ebuka Agubosin, 29, Abdulraman Abdulmalik, 37; Waheed Adewale, 48; Kehinde Okiki, Semiu Sanni and Raheem Lawal who are conductors. Court To Deliver Judgement On Kemi Olunloyo’s Bail Today

A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, would today be ruling on the bail application of controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo. Olunloyo was arrested by security operatives and charged to court for publishing materials that were allegedly offensive to a frontline Port Harcourt-based cleric, Pastor David Ibiyeomie.
