Officers and men of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Cross River State have been cautioned against taking food from politicians while on duty on the election day. The state sector commander of the corps, Chidiebere Nkwonta, gave the warning in Calabar yesterday at an election’s stakeholders’ meeting and a capacity building programme for staff. Commotion As 3 Persons Were Killed In Fresh Attack Between Cross River & Ebonyi Communities

No fewer than three persons were, reportedly killed following a renewed deadly clash between a community in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and its counterpart in Nsobo community in Obubra council area of Cross River State. The attack is said to have occurred following the lingering dispute between boundary communities in the states. The remote and immediate causes of the inter-state boundary clash have been linked to dispute over ownership of farmlands between both communities. According to reports, the Cross River residents of the riverine area in Obubra were allegedly attacked recently by the Izzi people of Ebonyi state. The residents are calling on the state and federal government to come to their aid to quell the hostilities between the communities.

The police are yet to arraign the housemaid who allegedly attempted to kill her boss, 10 days after the attack at her residence in Ejigbo area of Lagos.
