The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) asked President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to settle their “mercenaries”. The PDP gave the advice to reaction to bandits’ kidnap of staff and students of Government Secondary School, Kagara in Niger State. The spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement on Wednesday, lamented that while Nigerians were under attack, the APC was carrying out membership registration and revalidation exercise. PDP said the stance of the APC administration towards the fight against banditry further validates reports that the bandits are enjoying cover under the ruling party. The opposition said it explains why the APC never raised a strong voice against what has become a national calamity. Ologbondiyan noted that instead, APC l...

Some elders from the South West yesterday commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing one of their sons as Chief of Air Staff. The elders, under the aegis of Conference of Concerned Yoruba Elders, said the president’s gesture was a demonstration of his unwavering confidence in the South West to help his administration give Nigerians the much-needed security as he pledged during his campaign. CCYE National Coordinator, Prof. Olusegun Ajibola and National Secretary, Dr Catherine Adisa, urged their kinsmen to reciprocate the president’s gesture by supporting his administration to succeed in bestowing an enduring legacy of good leadership for the country. President Muhammadu Buhari has quietly gifted his unqualified nephew the position of an assistant director at the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Peoples Gazette can confirm, typifying yet another exhibit of his sectional and corrupt determination to cram national security positions with his tribes and clans and leave an enduring influence long after serving out his tenure in 2023. TI Corruption Index: Reno Omokri Blasts Buhari, Lists 20 Reasons Why Buhari, Not Nigerians, Is Responsible for Nigeria’s Abysmal Corruption Rating

On Monday, February 1, 2021, Nigerians woke up to a rather shocking accusation. According to Transparency International new Corruption Perception Index, released on Friday, January 29, 2021, Nigeria is more corrupt today than under the previous administration, having moved 13 places backwards in the CPI, from 136 in 2014 to 149 in 2021 (our worst performance ever.) However, rather than own up to their failures, the ever blaming Buhari administration accused Nigerians, saying the long-suffering citizens of Nigeria, and not the government, were responsible for this abysmal corruption perception rating. On Channel Television’s Sunrise Daily, the Any Government in Power Garba Shehu (he was also a spokesman to the Obasanjo PDP Government) said: “I’ll tell you that this one by TI is...

“Mr Integrity, My Foot”: Buhari Has Failed In Securing Nigerian – Fayose

Transparency International has now established that under Buhari, Nigeria has become the hq of corruption. At this point, it's illegal and morally unacceptable to refer to Buhari as Mr Integrity. He has equally failed in securing Nigerians. Therefore, Buhari’s integrity my foot. Now under Buhari, Mr "Integrity and Corruption Fighter", the same Transparency International latest report placing Nigeria as the 2nd Most Corrupt country in West Africa is no longer credible. When the President and his APC gang labelled the PDP govt of President Jonathan as corrupt, they relied on reports by the Transparency International (TI). Then,  the organization was right and its reports were credible.

Nigeria: 2nd Most Corrupt Country In West Africa Under Buhari – Transparency Int

Nigeria has dropped to 149 on Transparency International’s 2020 Corruption Perception Index, the worst ranking received by Africa’s largest country in recent time. Nigeria also scored 25 out of a possible 100 points. In the last TI rating in 2019, Nigeria was ranked 146th out of the 180 countries surveyed, scoring 26 points out of a possible 100. On a scale of zero to 100 in TI’s rating, zero means “Highly Corrupt,” while 100 stands for “Very Clean”. This means that Nigeria is two steps worse off than she was in 2018 when she scored 27 points to place 144th out of 180 countries. The summation is simply that corruption in the country has worsened. According to the latest ranking, Nigeria is now the second most corrupt country in West Africa with Guinea-Bissau the only country m...
