Bandits Kill 3 in Kauru Local Government of Kaduna State

A bandit attack at Kamaru village of Chawai Chiefdom in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has left no fewer than 3 people dead. It was learnt that the bandits shot the victims after an argument ensued after arriving the compound. Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan confirmed the incident and also disclosed that investigations indicate that the gunmen were criminals from a neighbouring state who crossed over into the village to carry out the heinous act. UN Withdraws Claim That 110 Farmers Died In Borno Boko Haram Attack

The United Nations on Monday recanted an earlier claim that 110 farmers were killed by suspected Boko Haram insurgents in Zabarmari community, Borno State. Local media had published a report on Saturday quoting officials of the Borno State government saying at least 43 farmers lost their lives in an attack by insurgents on a rice field. On Sunday, the Borno governor, Babagana Zulum, had during a mass burial of the deceased farmers, told journalists that 43 farmers were killed. Not less than seven people have died in an early morning attack on Jemaa Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Gunmen stormed Ungwan Bido village on Sunday, killing residents.
