Amina Mohammed-Baloni, the commissioner for health in Kaduna state has tested positive for Coronavirus. The health commissioner made the announcement via a tweet and also revealed that she has gone into isolation. Baloni tweeted;   “Following notification that I have tested positive for COVID-19, I have proceeded into isolation for the necessary treatment. “I look forward to a quick and complete recovery from this infection."

The Commissioner of Health Dr Abba Abba Zakari who made the announcement at the NYSC camp in Dutse on Monday May 25, said the patients were discharged after testing negative twice for the virus. This brings to 143 the total number of discharged COVID-19 patients in the state.The commissioner further revealed that 4 more COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded in the state, bringing the total number of fatalities to 7 in Jigawa. Dr Abba Abba Zakari also said that the lockdown in the state will be lifted in three Local Councils which include Birninkudu, Gwaram and Gumel.

United Kingdom-based airline 'Flairjet' has been fined N1m by the federal government, for violating Nigeria's civil aviation regulations by operating during the total lockdown. 51 Coronavirus patients who underwent successful treatment have been discharged by the Katsina state government. 40 out of 50 doctors and health workers that got infected with COVID-19 at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano state, have been discharged after recovering from the disease. An unnamed doctor has tested positive for Coronavirus in Bayelsa state. Governor Duoye Diri made the announcement during a meeting with members of Bayelsa state COVID-19 Task Force. The doctor who works at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Yenagoa was admitted at a private hospital before testing positive for the virus. The health official's travel history also showed that he entered the state after a trip to neighbouring Delta State. The private hospital he was admitted in has been shut down for decontamination.
