Veteran actor John Kani, has expressed how he feels on not being able to attend Chadwick Boseman’s funeral with actress Connie Chiume.

John Kani who starred alongside Chad on Black Panther said he won’t be able to to attend his funeral with Connie, due to the lockdown restrictions on international travels. He said his son Atandwa Kani who is in the Big Apple will represent them all.
“What a pity that Connie and I will not be able to attend Chadwick Boseman’s funeral because of lockdown international boarders. I am sure that Atandwa who is in New York now will represent us all.” he wrote on Twitter.
Chadwick’s death has been described as a major blow in the industry as he was an incredibly talented man. Paying his tribute to him John Kani recently wrote on Twitter.
“The Black Panther – Chadwick Boseman passed away last night. My deepest condolences to his family and the Black Panther family. May his soul rest in peace. King T’Chaka. Wakanda Forever.”
Chadwick’s death has left many reeling all over the world and tributes have been pouring following the announcement. The actor passed on recently after a battle with colon cancer and his departure was in the presence of his wife and family at his home.
His death was announced on his Instagram account, “Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV.
A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.” reads the statement.
Chadwick won the hearts of many with his stellar performances as King T’Challa in Black Panther. The global hit film was released in 2018 amidst great excitement and it received rave reviews from many people.
His funeral arrangements remains sketchy.
