Game Of Throne Fan Arrested For Arson Claims Her Dog Started Spitting Fire After She Said “Dracarys”

A Spotsylvania County woman who had been accused of intentionally setting her own residence on fire claims her dog did it after she commanded it to spit fire by saying “Dracarys”.

Deborah Frances Marchetti, 44 a die-hard fan of HBO TV series Game of Thrones told her neighbor that her dog finally did it.

“She said she had been training the dog for years to become a dragon so she can fry her enemies. She was yelling “Dracarys” to the dog in the middle of the street while the house was burning but the dog did not spit any fire”. Said a concerned neighbor who requested to stay anonymous.

“The poor dog was dressed in a dragon costume and it smelled horrible”.

Marchetti is charged with arson of an occupied dwelling, a charge that carries a potential penalty of between five years to life in prison. Marchetti is being held in the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Steven Cooper, deputy fire chief in Spotsylvania, said the fire was reported at 3:11 a.m. at a home in the 9500 block of Trentham Trail off Leavells Road in the county. Marchetti and another resident were out of the home when firefighters arrived, Cooper said. A third resident was not home at the time.

Cooper said the resident in a basement apartment was alerted by a smoke alarm. Marchetti was treated at a local hospital after complaining of smoke inhalation, Cooper said.
