The Argentine striker scored the second of Chelsea’s first half goals, only for Burnley toalso score two of their own in a thrilling 45 minutes.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri opted to remove Higuain with 77 minutes gone and replaced him with Olivier Giroud.
As he returned to the bench and sat down with the rest of his team-mates, Higuain exploded in frustration.
He first picked up the bib that was given to him and threw it to one side while appearing to gesture to someone on the touchline.
