Arsenal agreed to cover percentage of Ozil wages in sale plans

Arsenal have agreed to cover a percentage of Mesut Ozil’s wages to offload him this summer.

The Gunners are willing to pay a portion of his £350,000-a-week wages at his next club.

Missing out on Champions League football has ripped a huge hole in Unai Emery’s plans and selling the German playmaker is one way they hope to raise funds.

The Daily Mail report that there is such little hope of a club coming in to sign Ozil, the Gunners are settling for subsidising his salary.

Arsenal gave the 30-year-old a new contract in February 2018, worth £350,000-a-week.
