APC Squandering Goodwill That Brought Them To Power – Bishop
The All Progressive Congress, APC, in Kogi State has been accused of squandering the goodwill that brought them to power.
The Catholic Bishop of Idah Diocese, Rt Reverend Moses Adaji said this while interacting with the press as part of the occasion marking the tenth anniversary of his consecration as the Bishop of Idah Diocese.
“In my ten years of service in the Lords vineyard, I have visited many places in the state; what I see are people who have been frustrated and disappointed due to the fact that government have not been able fulfill their expectations”, he said.
He urged the political class in the state to live by example and see their political appointment as a call to service rather than an opportunity to amass wealth at the expense of the electorates.
“Those in position of authority should not see it as an opportunity to enrich themselves, it is not a call to self service or an opportunity to stash away money in a foreign land or for your children, it s call to service to fellow being”, he added.
Bishop Adaji called on government at all levels to come to the aid of the church in its efforts to provide qualitative education, as education was the only way by which crime can be stamped out from the society.
