“Are You the One?” alum Connor Smith has been arrested on charges bordering on rape. The 31-year-old reality show star was arrested on December 16 in Oak Lawn, Ill., on a warrant from Lake County, Ind., as confirmed by spokesperson for the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. The warrant was issued due to allegations of rape, criminal confinement, and sexual battery. The specific details of the accusations were not disclosed and reps at the Lake County Indiana State Attorney’s Office could not immediately be reached. Documents obtained by TMZ however claimed that the alleged crime began when a 16-year-old girl provided someone who was selling a cat, her address via Snapchat. The teenager claimed the man “ripped open her bedroom window screen, yanked her out of the room, threw her into his truck and drove to a motel while sexually assaulting her.” The unidentified teen’s story changed in later interviews with police, according to TMZ. She subsequently admitted to having met her alleged attacker on a dating app and voluntarily snuck out to meet him. ?Are You the One? star Connor Smith arrested for allegedly raping teen girl The young woman said once she was inside the man’s truck, he allegedly forced her to perform oral sex while driving to the motel, “slapping and choking her multiple times, urinating on her in the motel room and forcing oral sex again.” She claims the man returned her home and said he would be back the next day, but family members who were on her front lawn reportedly chased him away. Smith was arrested because his vehicle matched the description of what eyewitnesses saw. A rep for the Cook County Sheriff’s Office told Page Six the former MTV star was booked into Cook County Jail on December 17, where he remains in custody with no bond. The reality show star appeared on Season 3 of “Are You the One?,” a show where a group of single contestants competed to find their perfect match, in 2015.
