Waka singer Salawa Abeni on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to the new Oniru of Iruland Oba AbdulWasiu Lawal. The 59-year-old ‘Beware Medley’ singer shared a picture of the Oniru and herself on her Instagram page saying, “A courtesy visit to the new Oniru. Oba Gbolahan Lawal.” MCI reports that Oba Lawal ascended the Oniru throne nearly a year after the passing of Oba Idowu Oniru on September 19, 2019. In June, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu presented the staff of office to Oba Lawal as the 15th Oniru of Iruland. He was coronated on September 6.

Salawa Abeni Nude Scandal: 19-year-old YABATECH Student Plotting To Blackmail The Singer Arrested

Lagos State Police Command, have arrested a 19-year-old National Diploma holder of the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, for plotting to blackmail popular artiste, Salawa Abeni. The suspect, Olufowoke Emmanuel, said to be a resident of Ogun State, was picked up by the decoy team of the RRS last Thursday. The police were said to have been trailing Emmanuel for three days. The artiste recently went on social media to raise the alarm over plans to blackmail her with her nude photos. She posted her WhatsApp conversation with the suspect and the purported old photos he planned to use for the blackmail.
