Nothing Wrong In Freezing EndSARS Protesters’ Accounts – Akeredolu

Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has defended the freezing of bank accounts belonging to some #EndSARS campaigners by Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). “Speaking very honestly, I don’t see anything wrong in it,” Akeredolu said in an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily. “If for instance, my account was frozen, what would I do? Ondo State Governor , Rotimi Akeredolu, on Friday evening, lifted the 24 - hour curfew earlier imposed to curb the spate of violence in the state . Ondo Records two Coronavirus Deaths

Ondo state has recorded two new deaths linked to Coronavirus complications. The state's Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu confirmed this in a tweet shared on Monday June 1.   Akeredolu said the two late Coronavirus patients are among the three new cases reported in the state. They died at the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital (UNIMEDTH) in Ondo town, Ondo State.   This brings the total number of Coronavirus deaths recorded in the South-West state to 4. The tweet reads; Today, we recorded three new cases and an unprecedented number of deaths from #COVID19Nigeria in Ondo State. Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has denied media reports that the state’s third Coronavirus patient was a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).   Reports were rife online today that a medical doctor serving at the 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Cantonment had tested positive for the virus after having contact with the index case.   Reacting via his Twitter handle, the state governor said the third case was a former NYSC member who served in the barracks and was retained after the service year. The Supreme Court Tuesday dismissed a suit by the Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant Segun Abraham against Governor Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN). Abraham is challenging the emergence of Akeredolu as the APC flag bearer for the 2016 governorship poll. He had approached the court to be declared the winner of September 3, 2016, APC primary and subsequently sworn in to replace Akeredolu as governor.
