Teni The Entertainer Gets A Record Deal

Younger sister of Nigerian pop star Niniola, and viral sensation, Teni The Entertainer, has been signed by Doctor Dolor Entertainment. Teniola Apata, also known as Teni-Makanaki, became a Nigerian internet sensation when a clip of her free styling on an instrumental went viral and garnered her a commendable fan base. The singer song writer went on to officially record the track and release it as a single. The vocalist was signed to DDE record label ownedby Osadolor Nate Asemota, also known as Dr. Dolor. She will join Ryan and Vanilla, two artistes who have also been signed by label.’ Teniola is set to graduate from American Intercontinetal University.

A whole lot really seem to have happened in the Nigeria music industry in the year 2015/2016 that should make Nigerians proud, especially music lovers. Despite the recession, Nigerian acts have doled out singles and music videos for their teeming fans to enjoy. The Top Naija Music Awards which has been running consecutively since 2012 and is now in its 4th edition, is proud to announce the nominees for the 2016 edition of the awards which is set to hold in January 2017 in Lagos. Twelve fast-rising and hardworking artistes were nominated in the Artiste of the Year category. They include: Mr. Eazi, Mayorkun, Sugarboy, Niniola, Tobi Grey, Koker, Pepenazi, Dremo, Skiibii, TJan, and Temmie Ovwasa.
