He said religious centres can now conduct services once a week but must observe the prevention protocol against COVID-19. Commotion As 3 Persons Were Killed In Fresh Attack Between Cross River & Ebonyi Communities

No fewer than three persons were, reportedly killed following a renewed deadly clash between a community in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and its counterpart in Nsobo community in Obubra council area of Cross River State. The attack is said to have occurred following the lingering dispute between boundary communities in the states. The remote and immediate causes of the inter-state boundary clash have been linked to dispute over ownership of farmlands between both communities. According to reports, the Cross River residents of the riverine area in Obubra were allegedly attacked recently by the Izzi people of Ebonyi state. The residents are calling on the state and federal government to come to their aid to quell the hostilities between the communities.

International Food for Agricultural Development (IFAD)-assisted Value Chain Development Programme (VCDP) says it will permanently check the sale of adulterated seedlings in Ebonyi State. Sunday Ituma, Ebonyi coordinator of the programme, said this in Abakaliki while addressing beneficiaries of its mechanised equipment, adding that establishment of a seed laboratory would check the trend.
