A pair of Michael Jordan’s game-worn shoes from 1985 was sold for $560,000 on Sunday, more than three times the estimated auction price .
Ten bidders from across the globe competed for the basketball legend’s autographed Nike Air Jordan 1 shoes before the online auction closed at $560,000, breaking the world auction record for sneakers, according to auction house Sotheby’s.
“Following a bidding war which drove the value up by US $300,000 within the final twenty minutes of the sale, the pair achieved more than 3.5x their $150,000 high estimate,” Auction house Sotheby’s said.
The bidders came from six countries across four continents, and the sale breaks the world auction record for a pair of sneakers, set last year by the Nike “Moon Shoe” for $437,500.
The Nike Air Jordan 1s were made exclusively for Jordan, and featured red laces instead of black and white.
“Produced between February to April 1985, Jordan wore the present pair of Air Jordan 1s during an early, pivotal point of his career and thus catapulted the sneaker’s popularity,” Sotheby’s said.
“Wearing mismatched shoes most of his career, the pair is in a size 13 (left shoe) and a 13.5 (right shoe).”
“Jordan wore Air Jordan 1s until October 29, 1985, when he broke his foot and subsequently took off 64 games during his second season while healing,” Sotheby’s said.
“He wore modified versions of the Air Jordan 1 upon his return to the game.”

During the rainy season, many people struggle to look the best as their main aim is to stay dry. Yet, even during a drizzle or heavy downpour, you can achieve a chic street style look. All you have to do is master your rainy day look by trying creative ways to dress up your rain coat in a way that keeps you warm, dry and comfortable. When it comes to dressing warm most people are a pro in that but looking stylish and warm in a raincoat seems impossible to most of them. As there many types of rain coats from bombers, trenches, and jackets there are as many styling tricks that can help you look fashionable during rainy weather. Add to your rain mac collection other raincoat designs that you can use in rotation during the rainy season. Below are tips to look stylish with a raincoat.
1. Layer with cozy accessories
As you shop online on a rainy day after you had to struggle through the rain to work. Consider getting a rain mac coat that you can layer with ease. Therefore, when it rains do not change the outfit that you were to wear just add a stylish and cozy bomber jacket and layer with your raincoat for that extra layer of warmth. Remember your stylish stole that you will wrap around your neck and an umbrella. Therefore, get shopping for raincoats that will help you combat the showers as you know how to layer them well for that warmth and luxe.
2. Add embellishments
When you are a fashionista and you need to look the part. It may be a challenge to wear boring clothing just because it is raining. Hence you can upgrade your look to make it more attractive and stylish if you feel that your raincoat that is covering your elegant outfit is getting on the way. One way to do this is by adding embellishments. Either by yourself or looking for a PVC jacket that already has shimmery details for your rainy day piece. This will make you more comfortable to dress in a raincoat even when there is a little drizzle as you have mastered the street style look for the rainy day.
3. Try color blocking
If among your collection you have a see-through raincoat. This is one of the best raincoats that you can style as you stay warm and dry and still look stylish. This coat ensures that you can play around with colors as you can easily show off your foundation look with it. Hence, with such a raincoat getting quirky with it is the best way to style it. Wear stripes, prints and color-blocked upper wear that you can show off during the rainy days as you stay warm and dry. Hence, with such an opportunity, avoid wearing plain dull colors and style up your look with some color blends.
4. The trench coat take over
As there are many types of raincoats that you can add to your collection. The trench raincoat is one that you can use to wear as it is a classic piece. Hence, it is possible to show it off by finding out ways to work around your outfit. Whether it is structured or slouchy you can opt to wear this instead of a long collared jacket that most people prefer. Have foundation clothing of black and white separates and have your trench coat take over by blending with all that for a rainy day ensemble.
5. Mix materials
If your look seems to be too feminine because you are wearing some floral pieces. Give them a boost by matching with different materials like a nylon raincoat that plays along with your color scheme. This contrast of materials is eye-catching that will have head turns on your street look. To add some warmth to this look, add a wool scarf within the same colors to have your outfit have a perfect color flow as the materials are already in contrast. Experiment with this with pieces in your wardrobe and look all stylish during the rainy weather.
6. Copy your childhood look
The raincoats that almost everyone wore during their childhood had a similar look and vibe. Copying this look to refresh your classic childhood look is not a bad idea as a styling option for the rainy day. The raincoats were oversized and of bright hues. Replicate this by buying yourself one that looks similar in your size and rocks it to run your errands on a rainy day. Interestingly, this look is still a win as it is a chic look especially when you pair it with unexpected pieces like high heels or high waist trousers.
7. Go sporty
This is a perfect way to style your look if you do not have to suit up for work. Also, it is an ideal way to trek through the rainy weather as it is a movable outfit. To achieve this look all you need are good sneakers and a protective raincoat that is comfortable and with possible racing stripes. This outfit fits the rainy weather perfectly. Even when you add some girlie add ons it still feels like a complete well-styled ensemble. Wear this more often to run errands, catch up with friends as it is easy to put together and it’s as stylish as it is warm and comfortable.
8. Show off your tastes
If your way of dressing is getting covered by your trench raincoat. Work a way around showing it off. If you are a biker chic, it is okay to wear your Moto and allow your collar to pop out from underneath to lay over your trench raincoat collar line. This gives your outfit an extra edge as you blend in with what you love. Alternatively, if you like pieces that show off. Choose a look that brightens everyone you meet and go big. For instance, choose an Avant-garde silhouette in a bold red or yellow shade and rock it to the office.

Speaking to a cross section of journalists in Abuja, Alex Anthony Olusanya advised President Buhari to help the fashion industry by taking the same step taken in the Agricultural industry which encouraged Nigerians to start patronising home-grown rice.
“The fashion industry is a multi-billion industry for any nation, and Nigeria inclusive. Many young educated fashion designers and even many of the uneducated ones by the roadside shops depend on this as a source of income. This in turn brings money back into the account of the government, this is why our government needs to be part of the fashion industry and boost it more to grow.”
“The major submission to his Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari is to order the temporary stoppage of all forms of Importation of fashion materials, imported clothes and so on that we can easily get here at affordable prices; basically Nigerians need to start patronising Nigerian designs. Look at what is happening in the agric sector; more Nigerians are now consuming made in Nigerian rice, the farmers are smiling to the bank and more money goes around the economy. We need that type of intervention in the fashion sector and it will be a win-win situation for all.”
Alex Anthony Olusanya, a Theatre Arts graduate of the University Of Ibadan also advised that the government should make it mandatory for every government establishment set a day of the week aside when all their employees put on strictly traditional attires and made in Nigerian dresses as a sign of patriotism.
“Our law makers and other people in position of authority continue to wear traditional attires, and i must commend them for that. I see no reason why other government workers can’t follow suit. You can wear traditional dresses that will still look trendy on you. Most of our designs at Alex Tailors are made in a way that you can wear them in the midst of people wearing suits and you won’t look awkward” .
Kim Kardashian reveals Kanye West handed her a check for $1M for not modeling for rival clothing brand
Kim Kardashian West has revealed she received a cheque of $1M from her Kanye West, which she says was a token from him for not modeling for a rival clothing brand.
The 39-year-old mother-of-four was speaking at the New York Times DealBook Conference in Manhattan, when she revealed her husband who is a clothing designer gave the cheque on Mother’s Day this year.
She said: ”So there was a fast-fashion brand, a few of them, and they would knock off Yeezy all the time, his color palette, designs. So this fast-fashion brand offered me a million dollars for an Instagram post.’
‘And I thought, “Okay, well that’s easy” — just to wear clothes that I could pick, anything that I wanted, it’s a quick post — and when I told him about it he asked me not to do it and said out of respect, I don’t think that we should be giving them everything, they copy everything. I completely understood why he said no. I gladly said no.’
Kim continued: ‘And then for Mother’s Day, he handed me an envelope and it was a check for a million dollars saying “Thank you for not posting for the other brand.” And then — I don’t know if I’m supposed to say this or if I have — and a contract to be an owner in Yeezy as a thank you. So there is power in saying no sometimes.’
Kardashian went on to call the 42-year-old rapper-designer ‘my ghost stylist and my ghost creative director’ for helping her dramatically evolve her personal style since they met in 2012.
On being an influencer, the reality star boasted about her powerful presence on Instagram, saying: ‘If I really want something and I’m a bit lazy, I can tweet, “I’m loving Oreos, I’m craving Oreos right now,” and then on my doorstep, every flavor Oreo will show up,’ Kim boasted.

Fashion retailer Forever 21 has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the US.
The company said it plans to “exit most international locations in Asia and Europe” but would continue to operate in Mexico and Latin America.
It expects to close up to 350 stores worldwide, a spokesperson said, including as many as 178 US stores.
Forever 21 sells inexpensive, trendy clothes and accessories, and competes against brands such as Zara and H&M.
But some analysts say the retailer, founded in 1984, has lost its way over the past five years, and fallen out of favour with young US shoppers looking for relatively cheap clothing.
The company has also, like many traditional retailers, struggled against rising competition from online rivals.
Chapter 11 protection postpones a US company’s obligations to its creditors, giving it time to reorganise its debts or sell parts of the business.

You probably have heard big fashion brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Gucci, Versace etc — and perhaps might have, at one time, thought about how they looked or the people behind them. Some of the geniuses behind these big fashion brands, may tend to be camera shy, or may choose to stay away from them, perhaps for their sanity, or to concentrate more on their craft, or perhaps for some other reasons — apparently best known to them.
Should you have ever wondered what the faces behind those beautiful, out-of-this-world and madly expensive designs looked like, we have compiled a list of the faces behind the most famous fashion brands — of course, for your reading pleasure.
Please, do read and share!
1. Gianni Versace
Gianni Varsace had a mom who was a seamstress, so he spent a great deal of his childhood learning how to sew. He first launched a Versace boutique in 1978 and quickly went international. Gianni got his design inspirations from the contemporary and pop cultures. He was also one of the first designers to link fashion to the music world and was friends with legends like Elton John, Cher, Sting, Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. Versace died in 15th July, 1997, after which his sister Donatella Versace took over the business.
2. Miuccia Prada
The youngest granddaughter of Mario Prada, Miuccia Bianchi Prada took over the family business in 1978. One of the best dressed women in the world (as per Forbes), Miuccia is the head designer of the luxury brand Prada and the founder of its subsidiary Miu Miu. Although most of her designed goods look more like pieces of art than actual clothes, Miuccia abstains from merging fashion with art by proclaiming that “Art is for expressing ideas and for expressing a vision. My job is to sell.”
3. Dolce and Gabbana
Domenico Dolce, 60, and Stefano Gabbana, 56, came in contact with each other mid 1980, in Milan when they both were working for the same fashion house. Afterwards, they created their own fashion label five years later. Dolce & Gabbana later became known for their sensual and sexy style, often inspired by classic and feminine looks of the women of Sicily. The business partners also also share their romantic life together.
The duo are known to always be associated to one controversy or the other – the most recent one was stirred up last year when they posted a video on their social media accounts, of an Asian model eating Italian food with chopsticks. Dolce & Gabbana was accused of racism and their show in Shanghai was cancelled.
4. Roberto Cavalli
Roberto studied weaving techniques at a young age, which fascinated him more than his actual formal school studies. It soon became an inspiration to drop out of school and open his own textile printing business, that slowly made him a name in the fashion world. At 32, Roberto Cavalli presented his first ready-to-wear collection in a Paris fashion show organized at that time. Not long after, he opened a fashion boutique in Saint-Tropez and his name became synonymous with glamorous and sexy style.
5. Tommy Hilfiger
Thomas Jacob Hilfiger, born March 24, 1951 (age 68) after working in a clothing store on Cape Cod in 1969, decided to use his life savings of $150 to open a clothing store in 1971. The People’s Place soon went bankrupt in 1977. After bankruptcy, he moved to New York City – the fashion capital of the US – where he worked for several brands. By the age of 28, he once again took a shot at creating his own clothing company, called Tommy Hill. Six years later, he established the Tommy Hilfiger Corporation which was destined to become one of the most recognizable fashion brands in the world.
6. Tom Ford
Tom Ford, 58, have shown without a doubt to be the master of all, this can be shown in his professionalism in his career path as a fashion designer, film director, screenwriter, and film producer. Mr. Ford is of many talents and not only designs clothes and make up, but has directed such movies as A Single Man and Nocturnal Animals. Tom spent his childhood in the suburbs of Texas and later – in New Mexico. Tom launched a line of menswear, beauty wear, and accessories back in 2006. You can take a break ladies, he’s gay, and definitely very much married to his gay partner
7. John Galli [Dior]
Even though John has been proclaimed as one of the greatest British designers and even has been named British Designer of the Year four times, his career has seen its sunset after the scandal of 2011. Apparently, John holds anti-Semitic views and was not afraid to express it in a public place, after, probably, having one or two glasses of wine. Therefore, to no surprise, his own label was shut down the same year and he was fired from Christian Dior.
8. Calvin Klein
Having been born to Jewish parents in 1942, Calvin Richard Klein launched his company that would later become Calvin Klein Inc., in 1968. He is renowned for being an amazing businessman that took undergarment fashion to a whole new level. Thanks to this veteran fashion genius, the world now craves for panties with a CK line on them. Of course, that’s not all that he crafts – the brand Calvin Klein also produces clothes, perfume and accessories.

Just over 10 years later he opened up in Britain, calling the shop Primark to avoid a legal battle with US brand JC Penney.
Primark went on to become a household name, bringing ‘cheap chic’ to the UK High Street with a total of 370 stores across 12 different countries.
Ryan, often described as a workaholic, was chief executive until 2009, stepping into the chairman’s seat where he remained until his death. He oversaw a huge expansion of the business, which took annual sales to £2billion a year.
She’s been accused of using her “fat girl chronicles” to seek attention, and her body positivity activism isn’t always met with kind words.
But for plus-size model and photographer Lesego “Thickleeyonce” Legobane, being a leading voice in the body positivity movement has brought her nothing but great opportunities.
She recently bagged a gig with international clothing brand Calvin Klein — as the first South African plus-size model/influencer roped in to work on the campaign for Calvin Klein Women eau de toilette.
“It’s crazy and I actually still have to pinch myself a couple of times every time I think about it. To say I am a Calvin Klein influencer in itself is just insane,” she said this week.
“I got an e-mail from Calvin Klein, telling me they were looking for a plus-size digital influencer in SA, which they have never had. They wanted to associate themselves with a local plus-size model to sign on as an overall influencer and work with them on really cool campaigns.”
The 26-year-old model said she was excited to be part of a campaign which allowed a fresh take on limitless self-expression. “The first campaign, which is for a new fragrance for Calvin Klein Women, is out. Obviously, I signed on because it also stands for everything that I believe in, which is women being unapologetic about loving themselves and being themselves in totality.”
The #IAMWOMAN campaign has influencers of different shapes, shades and sizes from all over the world and Legobane said it was mind-blowing for her that her body positivity set her apart from all the other influential personalities who might have been “obvious” picks.
“I always work with big brands but there are certain brands I doubted I would ever work with, they were like a distant dream. But when something like this happens, it just defies societal norms. A lot of girls who look like me or have a body like mine don’t believe it’s possible to get these kind of things unless you fall into the ‘conventional beauty’ category. But this says the exact opposite. If I can do it, so can they. It is a big deal for SA’s plus-size women community.”
Legobane has been applauded for handling several body-shaming attacks with grace. In 2017, she made international headlines for her fierce and no-nonsense stance against body shaming. In a viral clap-back at the Twitter troll who dissed her, she spoke about body positivity and how to deal with it to magazines such as USA Teen Vogue.
The model said she didn’t mind that her name was synonymous with the “fat girl” narrative because she had accepted that she was a necessary role model for young South African girls, filling a void on social and mainstream media. “I am a big girl and I love being a big girl. I want to be remembered as the big girl who made a difference, one who accepted and loved herself so much that she inspired others to do the same.”
Legobane credits her confidence to her mother, who raised her single-handed. Her mom is also raising her two nieces, without whom Legobane said she can’t imagine life. It’s her mother’s teachings and the desire to be a good role model to her nieces that moulded her confidence.
“It’s probably a cliché but my mother always told me that the best thing I could do is be myself. She always told me to love myself for who I am. That’s where I got my confidence, from watching her do that every day. My mother was always supportive of my dreams and because of how much she believed in me, I built my confidence.”
Legobane said this had also been a great help when she went into the retail business with a clothing range called LeeBex. The store, co-owned with Rebecca Garande, was established online in 2016. They recently got a physical shop, to be officially launched at the end of this month. Legobane credits her loyal fan base with the success of LeeBex.
“The shopping experience for the big girl is hardly ever pleasant and we had that in mind when we started talking about the physical store. It’s sad that in SA, where most women have curves, it’s taken us so long to catch up. LeeBex will be a safe space for these girls because Bex and I understand the insecurities and struggles of big girls.”
Fashion designer, Toyin Lawani came under fire yesterday over harsh words she hurled at an upcoming designer who ripped her design and then created a poll by comparing both.
The mother of one was slammed for saying the girl’s design is trash and tagging her a dustbin.
Defending herself, Toyin revealed she is usually hard on those interested in learning and her anger was when the lady said there was nothing wrong in copying.
She However shared messages between both of them.
The beautiful daughter of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Kiki Osinbajo stuns in new photos. She captioned it “Fashion is what you make it …. I promise I’m not as short as I look in this picture”.
As the cream of the fashion world converge in Lagos for this year’s edition of Arise Fashion Week (AFW), Super Model, Naomi Campbell, yesterday announced that she is in partnership with the Gucci brand, is set to launch an ambitious fashion fellowship in universities in Lagos, Ghana and Cape Town in a bold move aimed at unleashing the hidden talents that abound in the continent.
The University of Lagos will be the beneficiary in Nigeria.
Making the disclosure at the second session of Arise Talks moderated by Laila Johnson-Salami where a panel comprising Campbell, Reni Folawiyo, Barbara James and Funsho Olusanya deliberated on the topic, ‘Business of Fasion – Exploring all Facets of the Emerging Markets in Africa, the fashionista explained that after 33 years on the runway, she had decided that the time has come to use her network, experience and talent to work for Africa.
At another Arise Fashion Week forum, Minister of Trade and Industries, Okechukwu Enelamah hinted that the federal government was planning to raise $500 million to facilitate the setting up of three economic zones in Lekki, Funtua and Aba in Lagos, Katsina and Abia states respectively
Campbell explained to the audience at the Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island, that her current initiative was in line with late Nelson Mandela’s entreaties to her when she visited him in South Africa that she should use her talent and experience to create a new Africa narrative.
According to her, “After 33 years in the business, I have decided that it is time to come back to Africa and begin planting seeds to give opportunities to young talents. Africa has always been in my mind since 1993 and I want to be part of Africa. Africa has amazing talents but lacking in exposure. So it is wonderful to partner Arise Fashion to bring this about.
“We are partnering the Gucci brand and they have agreed to launch fellowships in Lagos, Accra and Cape Town to open design schools that would train the much-needed fashion talents that abound in Africa. The aim is to change the perception and negative narrative as Nelson Mandela asked me to use my voice to do.”
On the issue of private equity funding, Barbara James of Henshaw Capital said the best source of funding required for the fashion or creative industry was either private equity or venture capital, regretting that both of these sources are still too small for any impact to be felt.
James proposed a $1 billion equity fund that would attract such big weights as Gucci, Ebay, government and another fund known as Technical Funding that could possibly pool $20 million to target capacity building in the creative industry.
In her contribution, Funsho Olusanya of FSDH noted that in as much funding remains a major challenge, “as a banker, what we look for is the bankability of a project that would make returns on investment. Unfortunately, most of the young entrepreneur lack very basic knowledge of financing, project bankability etc. What we are willing to do now is to support the industry with financial advisory to enable them get on their feet.”
The CEO of Alara, Reni Folawiyo lamented the dearth of skill manpower, infrastructure and human capacity development, arguing that these factors contribute to making the products expensive and of low quality.
Folawiyo noted that while talent was on the upswing, all factors need to be improved to ensure that solutions can be provided to bring down prices and produce quality goods and services.
Pro-chancellor of University of Lagos, Wale Babalakin, SAN, lauded Campbell and the Chairman, THISDAY/Arise Media Group, Prince Nduka Obaigbena, for choosing the University of Lagos for the fellowship, adding that it was coming at a time the authorities are seeking alternative means of revenue generation that “we’ll support, encourage and give our all to make this work.”
Obaigbena praised Campbell for deciding to dedicate the rest of her life to develop talent in Africa: “She has spent 33 years already in the business, now she is ready to dedicate the rest of her 33 years to building the African brand and new narrative for Africa.”

As part of its commitment to groom fashion designers that will distinguish themselves globally, Arise Media, which organizes the yearly fashion fete, introduced a life-changing novelty known as the ARISE Fashion Management and Mentoring Programme (AFMMP). The AFMMP was designed for start-ups in the fashion business that can be nurtured to international brands.
Apart from shining the light on the continent through fashion, AFW also contributed to the arts and tourism sector of Lagos State such that the state recognized it as one of the key events to attend this year in the state’s arts and culture calendar.
Enelamah: FG to raise $500 million for Lekki, Funtua, Aba economic zones
Also at the Arise Fashion Week forum, Minister of Trade and Industries, Okechukwu Enelamah hinted that the federal government was planning to raise $500 million to facilitate the setting up of three economic zones in Lekki, Funtua and Aba in Lagos, Katsina and Abia states respectively.
Enelamah who was part of a panel comprising of Barbara Barungi and Ituen Bassey that discussed “From Retail to Export – Building a Sustainable Market” urged Nigerians to work with the present administration to make Nigeria work and great.
At the panel discussion moderated by the Director General, Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Segun Awolowo, the Minister explained that the federal government was aiming at creating a pull strategy in areas where the country has comparative advantage.
According to him, “we are at the moment looking at the entire value chain including in the fashion or creative industry to create a pull strategy and facilitate this by creating industrial infrastructure to position Nigeria where it can compete globally in areas where it has competitive advantage.
“We are working with investors and various players to create industrial parks while we as a government would provide the incentives. Overall, we are creating an enabling environment for fashion or the creative industry to gain a foothold so we can realize our full potential in both markets and population.”
He said the government was also working to develop the economy in order remove sub-economic cost to lower cost of production and funds, adding that it was encouraging innovation, creativity and production to make inroad globally.
In her contribution, the MD, Imara Africa Consulting, Barbara Barungi said apart from funding challenges, African are yet to take the issue of intellectual property seriously, calling for what she described as “a legal dimension to protect the fashion industry.”
Albert Okumagba of BGL in his contribution pointed to the red tapism in sourcing financing from the banks and urging government to rather seek alternative sources of funding from the private sector to support the creative industry.

A beauty pageant or beauty contest is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants, although most contests have evolved to also incorporate personality traits, intelligence, talent, and answers to judges’ questions as judged criteria.
Business is the activity of making one’s living or making money by producing or buying and selling products (such as goods and services). Simply put, it is “any activity or enterprise entered into for profit.
So then, with the above definitions, is pageant a business?
Of course, we understand the mantra that no individual or organization goes into an event such as pageantry without the intent to make profit, but the problem here is making the said profit at the detriment or by exploitation of the contestants. Your profits can come from donors, or sponsors or partners but not from the contestants whom you (the organiser) should be planning to enrich or change their lives for the better.
We believe that the founding fathers of pageants built pageantry on a premise to help and empower young ladies who were beautiful, intelligent and had something positive to offer to the society. Not the other way round.
In Nigeria, sadly, the reverse is the case. We have contestants striving so hard and going to extreme lengths to complete tasks given to them by pageant organisers to which the sole aim is to enrich the pockets of their producers or directors. They (Organizers) make you believe that they are helping you by “giving” you their title and as such, it has to be paid for through several terrible means possible.
In as much as this organizers are the major culprits in this ever growing scam, the contestants have a share of the blame. Alot of desperate contestants in their desperation to be called beauty Queens and Kings end up offering to pay for the crown and when you have two or three of such contestants, the producer crowns the highest bidder. Just then, it has become nothing but business.
That said, a pageant organiser with integrity knows that his crown is not for sale and wouldn’t turn his organization into an outright ponzi scheme. The use of contestant to “peddle tickets” which is now a common practice, has grown over the years into a deadly practice as contestants are forced to to go through extreme measures to sell as many tickets as possible or risk not winning the crown even when they are the most qualified. But one thing we believe is this, if contestants refuse or stop “hawking” tickets, we would know the pageants that will stand the test of time
The beauty pageant competition is to meant to empower and change the lives of the aspiring Queen or King, not to turn them into mere “event ticket hawkers”, prostitutes to be pimped out to the the highest bidder, and pieces of meat to be sexually abused all in the name of modelling.
The #PageantNotBusiness Campaign is presented by #PageantForum a group of pageant Kings and Queens and models in Nigeria who have come together to say enough is enough. We are calling on all pageant enthusiasts, kings queens and Nigerian models as a whole to join us and speak up against this growing menace. Tell us your story. Challenge others to tell their story. Let’s put a stop to the flaming vices that is eating up our industry. Pageants are not, and will never be a form of business. Let your voice be heard!!!
