Igbere TV gathered that Mr. Akpan from Akwa Ibom, lives in Sadiku street by Trinity bus stop, Berger Suya, Olodi Apapa, Lagos, where he carried out the illicit act for years.
Akpan was arrested on Saturday morning following the intervention of a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), the Women of Inestimable Values.
The victim (names withheld) was rescued by the NGO while at the verge of committing suicide, after several plea for leniency from her stepfather fell on deaf ears.
Narrating the horror experience under her stepfather’s roof to Igbere TV, the victim said Mr. Akpan started abusing her while she was little.
She said her mother lived separately with them, as she was only made to stay with the stepfather, his brother and her own sister.
She told our correspondent that the stepfather threatens her life if she tells anyone whenever she threatens to report the case.
But Akpan’s luck finally ran out as he was caught pants down penultimate week by the victim’s younger sister, although he denied it.
The victim revealed to Igbere TV how the stepfather got her pregnant. She said she did abortion thrice following the discovery.
She also said whenever she refused to allow the man sleep with her, he beats her, denies her meal and even tied her up and rape her at will.
According to her, on so many occasion she begged the stepfather to stop raping her, but he said she does not have the right to tell him to stop, that he will only stop when he wants to.
“He started sleeping with me when I was small and even got me pregnant and took me to abort the pregnancy”, she said.
“I didn’t talk then because I thought he would stop as I grew older but he did not,” the 21-year-old victim narrated. She said she just finished secondary school.
She added that the stepfather takes advantage of her whenever she requests for something from him or catches her doing anything “wrong”.
Reacting however, Mr Akpan who did not deny sleeping with her stepdaughter said he did it only twice, but the victim insisted he did it severally.
“I mistakenly made love to her”, he said acting remorseful, “but I have promised myself not to do it anymore.”
“I slept with her twice. I started doing it while she was about 12, but she is currently 20,” Mr Akpan added.
He, however, denied maltreating his stepdaughter He said he gave the victim whatever she demands for at anytime.
Mr. Akpan pleaded to be spared, while blaming the devil for the acts, saying he would not go back to it if given a second chance.
Asked if the victim’s mother is aware of his sexual escapades, Mr. Akpan simply said “yes”.
Igbere TV gathered that the victim’s mother begged the daughter not to tell anybody, ‘in order not to bring shame to the family.’
Although Igbere TV could not immediately speak with the victim’s mother, a statement credited to her said she refused to speak up or report the issue.
“The man beats me when I complain, and will always not give us food, or ask me to leave the house, when I try to stop him reason I could not report or tell anybody”, she was quoted as saying.
A representative of the NGO, Ms. Lilian, who spoke to Igbere TV, said the victim was rescued two weeks ago while the stepfather kept evading arrest until he was finally arrested on Saturday.
The case is currently at a Saduke police division, close to where the victim lives. A police source said Mr. Akpan would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

The family of a 28-year-old graduate of the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, Ifeoma Abugu, has been thrown into mourning after she was allegedly sexually assaulted and killed by the personnel of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Federal Capital Territory Command, Abuja.
It was gathered that three policemen on September 10, 2020, around 5pm, stormed the residence of Ifeoma’s fiancé, Afam Ugwunwa, at Wumba village in the Lokogoma area of Abuja to arrest him.
PUNCH Metro learnt that in absence of Ugwunwa, the policemen arrested Ifeoma and took her away.
Our correspondent learnt that all efforts to know the police station she was being taken to proved abortive as she was not found until Ugwunwa got a call the next day that Ifeoma had died and her corpse had been deposited in the morgue.
Ifeoma’s brother, Alex, who spoke to our correspondent on the telephone, said she had just concluded her National Youth Service Corps and was arrested and killed four days after she had her introduction with Ugwunwa in Enugu State.
He said, “I was in Lagos when one of my junior brothers called me that he learnt that SARS arrested our sister and she died in detention. I just came to Abuja today (Sunday) and I have asked some of my uncles, who have been to the police station, and they said that the policemen alleged that they met my sister unconscious on the bed and they carried her to hospital, where she died.
“When I asked my sister’s fiancé what happened, he said he went out and someone called him on the telephone that SARS had arrested my sister and when he came back, he called someone he knew at the SARS office to help in facilitating her release, but the person was unable to do it that night.
“The following morning, he gave the woman money to help facilitate the release, but the woman called back to tell him that Ifeoma was dead. When my uncles saw the picture of her corpse, they saw signs that she was sexually assaulted. We’re waiting for the result of an autopsy to come out to ascertain what happened to her.
“My sister was arrested four days after her introduction in the village and her wedding was slated for December. We want the killers to be brought to justice.”
When our correspondent contacted Ifeoma’s fiancé, he said he was too distraught to talk.
The family’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Mamah, who spoke to our correspondent on the telephone, urged the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to order a proper investigation into the matter.
He said, “She (Ifeoma) had just finished cooking that day, while her fiancé and her friend had finished eating and the friend left, while the fiancé went to see a friend in one of the neighbouring estates, when he received a call from a neighbour that the police had come to arrest his fiancée and she had been taken away and he received another call from Ifeoma that she was been taken away by SARS, but she didn’t know where they were taking her to.
“Ifeoma’s fiancé called a friend of his to help in looking for her and secure her release, but she was not found, only for the fiancé to receive a call the next day that she was dead and her corpse had been deposited in the morgue.
“The family of the deceased have not seen the corpse; the picture we have is the one the IPO snapped and sent to us when she went to the hospital, where her corpse was deposited; from the picture of the deceased, it appeared she was sexually assaulted before her death.
The SARS officers alleged that they met Ifeoma in an unconscious state and that when they got there, there was cocaine on the table and that they only helped to take her to hospital, where she was examined and pronounced dead, but they forgot that people witnessed when she was being taken away.
“We want justice to be served; we want the matter to be thoroughly investigated and assigned to good investigating officers, because the IPO that has been handling this matter is not erudite enough; that is why we do not have confidence in them. The officers, who perpetrated this act, must be brought to justice.”
Mamah’s petition to the IG read in part, “The IPO, Inspector Bullus, and DPO Usman informed us at the police station on September 15, 2020, in explanation that the deceased was met in an unconscious state by the officers. This explanation is contrary to the information from residents and our clients are not confident with the way the matter is being handled at the Apo Police Station.
“The SARS operatives, who did the arrest, are still not yet arrested and are freely walking the streets of Abuja. Our clients are not confident that the division will do justice in the matter, and the deceased body is still lying lifeless at Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital. Sir, we appeal that you use your highly esteemed office to ensure that proper investigation is carried out, that the culprits be brought to book and justice done.”
Our correspondent learnt the matter was first reported at the Apo Police Station and later transferred to the FCT Command.
When contacted by our correspondent, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Anjuguri Manzah, said he was not aware of the matter and urged the family of the victim to come to the command for further investigation.
“I’m not aware of this incident, but give me time to make enquiries. You can also link me up with the family of the victim so that they can come to the command,” he stated.
A father of five girls is reported to have sliced open the stomach of his pregnant wife to find out if she was expecting a boy.
The husband – named only as Pannalal – is now in police custody after the sickening incident in the Indian northern state of Uttar Pradesh
Pravin Singh Chauhan, a senior police official, told local news crews that the woman was left seriously injured in the attack.
He added the reason for the attack is still under investigation, reports Newsweek.
However, the victim’s family said the suspect already had five daughters and was desperate for a son.
They say he carried out the bloody attack to find out if his wife was carrying a boy this time around.
According to NDTV, the woman – who was around seven months pregnant – is now in hospital in a serious condition.
Despite numerous government campaigns over the years, the prefrence for sons remains strong among Indian parents.
Many of them continue to see boys as an investment and girls a liability.
A 2018 national report claimed around two million girls go “missing” each year due to abortions of female fetuses, neglect and inadequate nutrition.
A 17-year-old boy identified as Daniel James, has been arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command for allegedly defiling 7 and 5-year-old sisters.

The statement reads:
“On the 17/09/2020 at about 1809hrs one Hannatu Sadiq ‘f’ aged 35yrs of Nassarawa Jahun Bauchi and Hajara Abdullahi ‘f’ aged 25yrs of the same address jointly came to ‘D’ Division Bauchi and reported that on the same date at about 1600hrs one Daniel James ‘m’ aged 17yrs of the same address, raped their two daughters named Hasiya (not real name) ‘f’ aged 7yrs of the same address and Hauwa (not real name) ‘f’ aged 5yrs of the same address.”
The PPRO said: “On receipt of the report team of Policemen was drafted to the scene. The victims were rushed to General Hospital Bauchi for Medical Examination and the suspect arrested. During interrogation he confessed to the crime and attested to be a sodomy. Investigation is on progress after which suspect will be charge to court for prosecution.”
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Special Area Command, has intercepted 1.6 kilogramme of controlled drugs suspected to be Tramadol and Flunitrazepam.
The Head of Public Affairs, NDLEA, Mr Jonah Achema, disclosed this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja.
Achema said that the drugs, which were destined for Istanbul, Turkey, barely a few days after the resumption of international flights, was an unusual drug trafficking trend.
He said that the command made the seizure from Mr Michael Chukwuka, during the outward clearance of passengers boarding the Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul, Turkey.
According to him, the usual trend is the illegal importation of Tramadol from Pakistan and India into the country and not the exportation of illicit Tramadol.
“The seizures are made up of 1.250 kilograms of Tramadol and 350 grams of flunitrazepam and were concealed in two Ghana-must-go bags.
“The Tramadol is in 200, 225, and 250 milligrams, respectively. These are above the 100-milligram threshold permissible for legitimate use and anything above is illegal.
“Chukwuka, aged 36 and an indigene of Imo State claimed to be ignorant of the content of the bag.
“And that he was given the bags at the Airport entrance in Abuja to deliver to a Nigerian woman who deals in foodstuff in Istanbul.
“He said he did not know the woman but one Mr Paul, her husband in Warri, gave the consignment to one man to bring to him at the airport,” Achema quoted him as saying.
Achema, however, said that the suspected drug trafficker who worked in a Cargo Office in Istanbul, had lived there together with Paul for many years.
He said that the suspect travelled to Nigeria in March and got trapped by the Coronavirus pandemic during which period, he equally became cash-strapped and had to reach out to friends to enable him to validate his return-ticket.
The Commander, NDLEA, Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Mr Kabir Taskuwa, said that the arrest and seizure coming less than a week after the resumption of international flights at Abuja International Airport was a clear indication that the drug traffickers were desperate.
According to him, we are equally determined. Most importantly, we need to be extra-vigilant because smuggling Tramadol to Turkey was strange.
“This is suggesting that there is an emerging tramadol market in some of these countries,” Tsakuwa noted
New evidence has been submitted against popular alleged internet fraudster, Ramoni Abbass, popularly known as Hushpuppi.
Hushpuppi was arrested months ago for allegedly defrauding over 1.9 million people to the tune of over 168 billion naira.
The new evidence shows how he used his personal email to register on a website “whizzlog” which is a market place for buying US bank logs and money laundering.
A statement released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) partly reads: “In reviewing data from ABASS email address (firstname.lastname@example.org), found ABBAS registered on a website whizzlog.com(“whizzlog”) which is a market place for buying US Banklogs and money laundering.
“Based on my training and experiences, Cyber criminals refer to bank account login details as bank logs or logs. These details can be purchase on the darkweb or some secret websites only known in cyber criminal circles. The website ABBAS registered with and used is called Whizzlog.com.
“Sophisticated cyber criminal do not use their personal email address in registering on such websites. ABBAS used his personal email to register on the site just like he used his personal email address for other criminal activities and schemes.
“ABBAS email address contained registration confirmation from Whizzlog. It also contained numerous confirmation and receipts of bank logs he purchased.
“One of such messages read, “Your order was successful. You have purchased (“the Financial institution”) banklog with a balance of $9,839,44. Purchase Price: $955. The banklog details “login to your whizzlog account to view.
“From the example above, I observed ABBAS buys a log with balance of over $9,000 for as low as $900.”
Recall Daily Times Nigeria reported that in June, the Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai by special operatives of the Emirati police and American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). while flaunting an opulent lifestyle on social media/
However, Hushpuppi pleaded not guilty to the four-count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering conspiracies, international money laundering and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity.

Efforts to save Oloruntoba by some good Samaritans, including his friend, Kazeem Okikiola, proved abortive, as he died.
PUNCH Metro gathered that Okikiola on Friday , September 11, went to Avid Bar at Alagbado to buy Shawarma and called Oloruntoba to join him.
While waiting for the Shawarma seller to attend to him, it was learnt that Okikiola got into an argument with another customer, who also wanted to buy the dish.

The bullet was said to have hit Oloruntoba in the stomach, while the suspect fled.
A resident, who identified himself as Chinedu, said the suspect mistakenly shot the 35-year-old.
“He actually thought that he shot the person (Okikiola) he argued with. Unfortunately, the bullet hit the wrong person. Immediately, the suspect got back into his car and drove away,” he added.
Another resident, Seyifunmi Akinola, said a native doctor assisted in removing the bullet from Oloruntoba’s body, adding that he died while being rushed to hospital for further treatment.
Akinola said, “Immediately the incident happened , his friends rushed him to the Merit Hospital where he was rejected because there was no police report.
He was later referred to the General Hospital, Otta, Ogun State, where he was cleaned up and transferred to the General Hospital in Abeokuta.

“He later took Oloruntoba to his brother’s house in the Ipaja area of Lagos State, where he died. As a follow up to the incident, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, directed that police detectives be mobilised to hunt the suspects linked to the killing.

A 50-year-old trader, Mrs. Tuale Iwejim, has died after she was hit by a 16-year-old boy who was using his mother’s SUV to test his driving skills at the Arena Shopping Mall, Oshodi, Lagos State.
According to a report by Punch, Tuale was in the shopping complex to purchase some items for her shop when she was knocked down by the SUV. The teenager and his mum were in the shopping complex to pick up some times. His mum went back to pick their remaining items and asked him to wait in their vehicle. While waiting, some persons began to complain that the SUV was obstructing the free flow of traffic in the complex. Instead of informing them that he couldn’t drive, the teenager took the keys from his mother’s bag and hopped on the driver’s seat. He was said to have put it in reverse and hit the 50-year-old two times.
Mrs Iwejim was rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba, Surulere, where she had surgery before her death on Thursday, September 4, 2020.
Her husband, Christopher Iwejim, who recounted the unfortunate incident said
”We were told that the boy and his mother went to the market to buy some things. After they did, the woman asked the son to wait for her in the car so that she could go and pack the remaining items.
“While the boy was inside the car, somebody shouted that the vehicle was obstructing traffic and asked the occupant to park well. Instead of him to say he was not the driver, he took the key from the mother’s bag and started driving.
“He managed to engage the gear on drive, but forgot to use the brake. That was how he hit Tuale. While struggling to put it on reverse, he hit her again. She sustained what I will call first degree injuries on both legs from her waist down. The boy also damaged some billboards and structures in the market.”Iwejim said
The N400,000, which the Delta State indigene borrowed to buy goods in the market, was stolen while she was being extricated from the wreckage.
The son of the deceased, Amos, said his mother spent about three weeks at the hospital, where doctors battled to save her life.
“When the accident happened, she was stuck in a gas cylinder, and when they tried to remove her, some parts of her flesh got torn. Her hip bone was divided from her body. It also appeared like there were iron rods in her leg and there was a hole in the leg” he said
The family of the deceased said they reached an agreement with the family of the teenager to share the medical bills 50-50. However, the teenager’s mother identified as Victoria Ogunleye, was said to have showed up at the hospital twice with N100,000 on each occasion while the family of the deceased spent as much as N1.5m.
The son of the deceased frowned at the military’s decision to release the confiscated SUV of the Ogunleye’s to them despite the fact that his mum was still in the hospital.
“The military police called my dad and said the woman wanted to pick her vehicle, and he told them not to release it. But to our surprise, they released the vehicle to the family.
LUTH later said they wanted to perform a surgery on her. A day after the surgery, she became unstable and they called my dad to ask if he could afford the ICU, because her breathing was not good. He agreed. They put her there, but she passed away the third day.”
After her death, both families had a meeting where the Iwejims demanded that the teenager’s family bear the cost of burial and fulfill the agreement to share the medical cost by 50 percent.
The Military is yet to comment on the incident.
Suspected bandits have abducted 21 people in two separate attacks on Udawa village, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Seventeen of those abducted including four others, who sustained serious injuries from gunshots, were said to be members of the same family.
Liman Hussaini, a community leader in Udawa, who confirmed the incident, said unknown gunmen stormed the area and started shooting sporadically, leaving several persons injured.
According to Hussaini, four people were kidnapped on Friday, while 17 others were abducted on Saturday on their way to the farm at about 7:00am.
He said by the time security personnel stationed in the village rushed to the scene of the incident, the bandits had escaped with their victims into the bush.
“Yesterday, a family of 21 were going to the farm, but about one and a half kilometres away from home, they were attacked by gunmen. Four of them sustained serious injuries from gunshots while 17 of them were abducted.
“Also, on Friday, at about 7:00am, four people were abducted while on their way to the farm.
“You know there is serious hunger. People are finding it very difficult to feed, but now that the maize is done, many families depend on it to feed. We have started harvesting maize which we use for feeding because there is no food.
“The head of this family of 21 was riding on a bike with one of his sons and two daughters to the farm when the bandits opened fire on them after abducting 17 members of the family,” he said.
Kidnap kingpin Honest Digbara, popularly known as Bobisky has died hours after he was arrested by the Rivers state Police command.
He died after multiple gunshot injuries and machete wounds sustained during gun battle with Policemen.
Bobisky was arrested alive early Saturday at Korokoro in the Tai Local Government Area in a sting operation led by the Divisional Police Officer of Bori, Superintendent Bako Angbashim.
Governor Nyesom Wike had earlier placed a N30 million bounty on Bobisky’s head, saying he will reward any member of the public who can provide useful information that will lead to the arrest of the criminal.
Speaking after the arrest, the state police commissioner, Joseph Mukan, said, “He was arrested through credible information at Korokoro Community in Tai LGA where he was hibernating with his gang of killers.”
He was said to be attending a funeral when policemen and vigilantes acting on a tip stormed the area but on sighting them, he opened fire leading to a gun battle which, on the spot, claimed the life of his younger brother said to be his driver.
Bobisky, a terror to many residents in the Ogoni area of the state, has been linked to most of the criminal activities recorded in the area.
A court in Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia, gave the judgement after authorities discovered that Adlesic had taken out five insurance policies in the year before her injury.
The 22-year-old claimed that the incident happened while cutting branches, but the court found that her claim was false.
She stood to gain more than €1 milion ($1.16 million) in insurance payouts if successful.
According to Sky News, authorities gathered that in 2019, Adlesic plotted with her boyfriend to have her left hand severed above the wrist at their home in Ljubljana.
It was gathered that the couple had intentionally left the severed hand behind, rather than bring it with them to the hospital to ensure the disability was permanent. However, authorities recovered it in time to reattach it.
Prosecutors said Adlesic’s boyfriend had made internet searches about artificial hands in the days before the incident.
They argued that the search is proof showing that the incident was intentional.
While the court found Adlesic guilty of attempted insurance fraud and sentenced her to two years in prison, her boyfriend was sentenced to three years in jail, and his father received a one-year suspended sentence.
During the trial, Adlesic denied plotting the incident alongside her boyfriend.
“No one wants to be crippled. My youth has been destroyed. I lost my hand at the age of 20. Only I know how it happened,” she said.
The judge, Marjeta Dvornik, said “the sentences are fair and appropriate, and will serve their purpose.”
The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) command on Thursday intercepted and handed over a Dubai-bound passenger with 2,886 Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
The Deputy Controller of customs in-charge of the MMIA, Abdulmumin Bako in a media briefing on Thursday explained that four Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) cards were also intercepted with the suspect.
According to DC Bako, “The suspect, one Ishaq Abubakar with Passport Number A08333717 from Kano State was intercepted when he was travelling to Dubai via Emirates Evacuation flight.
Customs intercept Dubai-bound passenger with 2,886 ATM cards at Lagos Airport
“At about 1145 hours on Aug. 22, at the departure hall gate ’B’ of the MMIA, Abubakar with Passport Number A08333717 from Kano State travelling to Dubai via Emirates flight was intercepted with 2,863 ATM Cards and 4 sim Cards by our officers on duty.
“The ATM cards and sim cards were carefully concealed in a noodles carton by the suspect.
“The suspect claimed that one Mr Musliu was assigned to him to facilitate his movement through the checks at the airport by one Mr Suleiman but the concealment was revealed due to the due diligence of our Officers who insisted on conducting a physical examination.”
He added that the suspect and the items would be handed over to the EFCC for further investigation as directed by the Comptroller General of Customs.
Bako pointed out that the suspect claimed that he was due for evacuation and had bought an evacuation flight ticket for his use.
The Customs Legal Adviser, Mr Smart Akande noted that handing over the suspect to EFCC showcased inter-agency collaboration as Customs does not have the jurisdiction to prosecute but to arrest.
“What we have here is the case file, ATM cards and the noodles used in concealing the ATM cards and we are handing them over to EFCC for further investigation and prosecution,” the Customs Legal Adviser added.
In his own presentation, the Lagos Zonal Head, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa said the ATM cards could be used for money laundering or Foreign Exchange Malpractices.
He, however, vowed that everyone involved in the conspiracy will be arrested and prosecuted by the commission.
“We have taken over Ishaq Abubakar who is in possession of 2,886 ATM cards concealed in a carton of noddle together with four SIM cards. It is for us here to investigate and know whether the conspiracy is for foreign exchange malpractices or money laundering.
“We are also to determine whether banks or bankers are involved in this crime. We will investigate and anyone found wanting will be prosecuted alongside the suspect,” the EFCC Zonal Head stated.
On whether it is a crime to be in possession of ATM Cards, Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa explained that “It’s not a crime to be with ATM cards but for a person to be in possession of 2,886 ATM cards at a time brings about a lot of suspicion and conspiracy.
“That the ATM cards are of different banks is another conspiracy and that raised a lot of questions that needed to be unravelled.”
Bawa also raised the fresh alarm of Nigerians selling their bank accounts to fraudsters saying that has been the latest trend in the last couple of years.
His words, “In the last couple of years, we noticed a new trend whereby Nigerians are selling off their bank accounts to fraudsters. The fraudsters advise them to open bank accounts and they buy them off for as low as N10,000.
“Nigerians should know that anyone buying off their bank accounts is using it for fraudulent transactions and banks also needed to be investigated because that means they aren’t carrying out due diligence such as Know Your Customers (KYC) on respective bank customers.”
The City of Orlando Police Department has arrested a self-described prophet and founder of Floodgates of Heaven International Ministries named Sylvester Ofori in the murder of his 27-year-old wife.
The 35-year-old “pastor” was arrested on Tuesday night after he shot his wife Barbara Tommey outside the Navy Federal Credit Union branch where she worked.
The shooting happened at around 9 a.m. at Navy Federal Credit Union on Gardens Park Boulevard.
Orlando Police, in a brief statement Tuesday night, said Tommey “was shot near the front door of the business by her husband, Sylvester Ofori.”
Police said the shooting was captured on security footage.
“You can tell that she’s trying to get inside. Unfortunately, he shoots her outside of the establishment,” Police Chief Orlando Rolon said.
Police added that “detectives worked tirelessly throughout the day in order to achieve the following outcome in this case.”
A search warrant was served at Ofori’s apartment, where he was taken into custody, police said.
Ofori was booked into the Orange County Jail at 9:39 p.m and now being held without bond.
He is now being charged with first-degree murder with a firearm.
However, a further check showed that Ofori and his ministry have an extensive social media presence – Ofori’s page has 61,756 followers while his ministry Floodgates of Heaven International Ministries has 5,552 followers on Facebook.
On his Facebook page, Ofori described himself as a prophet and motivational speaker.
A post on his page on August 23 said: “I truly believe that every single person has to go through something that absolutely destroys them so they can figure out who they really are,”
The physical address of his church is 44 Coburn Ave., Orlando.
Its Facebook page says the ministry is dedicated to helping those who need to increase their “prayer life.”
“We believe that prayer changes things & the bible says that the prayer of a righteous man availeth much,” the page says. “We are praying that God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
A website to hire speakers and entertainers says Ofori was born in Accra, Ghana.
“He attributes his zeal for God to his parents who instilled the fear of the Lord in the hearts of all five of their children,” his bio reads.
As an anointed and chosen man of God, Ofori “flows in the gifts of the Holy Spirit” and he has Christ-like powers and a knack for interpreting dreams.
Ofori has healed the sick, cast out of demons, and battled witchcraft, the site says.
“Clothed in the spirit of humility, he acknowledges that he is totally dependent upon Jesus, as he is able to do nothing of himself,” the bio adds. “He is always careful to give credit to God.”
However, Ofori’s wife Tommey was the assistant manager of the credit union, where she worked for more than five years, according to a Linkedin profile.
Her profile further revealed that she graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in finance.
A Nigerian lady identified as Bola Aseyan who falsely accused UK-based doctor, Dr Olufumilayo has been remanded in Prison after she escaped to Lagos.
If you recall, sometimes around April, the lady called out the medical doctor for allegedly raping her during her visit to his resident in the UK, an allegation the doctor denied and vowed to take legal actions.
He was eventually vindicated after an investigation by the UK Police, and while the accuser was being requested to report to the Police for further inquiries, she eloped to Nigeria.
The case was escalated in Nigeria and she was arrested and arraigned by the Police.
Reports have it that she has been remanded in a Prison in Lagos today.

There is a trend on Twitter that is ruinous. Idle souls seeking a vicarious adventure through the life of another sit back and play Judge rather than observe. After all, intelligence demands doubting, questioning & not being impressionable or biased when cases arise. #PlotTwist Image
Evidence & patterns show vividly that everyone is still healing from things they rarely speak about but if keen attention is paid to their actions you can’t but see the projection of personal failings. Let me walk you through a popular allegation that once shook the Twitterspace.
A certain Bola Aseyan, who barely got out of medical school with tons of misdemeanors & other public disturbance allegations, and recently took a trip to the UK just to record another, in the bid to incriminate a popular Dr Olufunmilayo as evidence clearly shows.
Twitter was engulfed by her false rape allegation and premeditated attempt to assassinate the character of a young UK based Doctor whose major crime was his naivety & kindness. Audio evidence of a phone conversation between the aggressor & her trusted friend reveals that…
…she deliberately plotted everything from Nigeria with the enumeration of her objectives with a checklist which included but not limited to; the procurement of seductive clothes & the narration of her seductive intent as gathered. It was a gory script too unsettling to repeat.
Upon achieving her aim to have an intercourse on foreign soil with her target, she probably missed some plots that may fit into her planned incrimination & she did all that she could to try again, leading to another consensual sexual episode which she’s failed to mention.
Again, these sexual episodes were missing vital ingredients for her plot and she got desperate. Records show her conversation with her trusted ally on the entire incidents especially how she actively/desperately seduced Dr Olufunmilayo to the point where he had to run for safety.
In her account to this ally, who voluntarily presented his statement to the investigation in Lagos, she deemed Dr Olufunmilayo uncooperative and possible gay for avoiding her entreaties & seductive approaches. Another witness physically present in such occasion corroborated this.
I want to believe it was at this point that she felt frustrated and decided to weaponize all that transpired as premeditated. She deployed any and every trivial matter to suit the narrative of her plot and proceeded on a diabolical journey to ruin the career & life of her target.
As backed by a few drama queens on Twitter, she went to the UK Police & GMC to lodge a complaint painting a grotesque picture of violent sexual assault. Unfortunately for her & those rooting for her, UK Police are not as gullible. They investigated & cleared Dr Olufunmilayo.
She had expected that the Police would make an arrest based on her falsehood & that they GMC will seize the license of Dr Olufunmilayo but none of her evil intentions came to pass. The GMC carried out their investigation in collaboration with the police & sat twice.
Like any ethical professional organization, they had to do something. When they received the police report on the matter that there is no criminal offense on the allegation brought forward as they have discontinued the chronomicide (bloody waste of time)…
…the GMC also felt this has nothing to do with professional misconduct but decides to still follow up on the allegation till the lady retraces her steps. But as the investigation later found, Dr Funmi filed a suit against her and she sneaked out of the UK to Nigeria.
Suffice to say that she evaded justice in the Uk & crept out like a fugitive. Court papers, UK police emails and all evidences to back up the above are before @SIAF_NG. Upon, the alert that she eloped from the UK, reports were filed in Lagos with the Police.
All attempts of the @PoliceNG to invite her over was rebuffed as she kept giving excuses even after official invitation were extended to her. She eventually showed up with her lawyer at the Bar Beach Police Station where all the evidences were presented to her.
To any sane individual, this would have been a turning point where all demonic acts could have been tamed for peace to resign but she called the bluff of the police authorities and insulted them even against the advice of her counsel. The Police had no choice than to escalate.
The case was bumped to State Criminal Investigation in Panti, and she continued to twist the system and play in the intelligence of the Police until they had to detain her for her unruly behavior despite the glaring evidences. She was later granted bail & given directives…
…none of the conditions given to her at Panti were met. She kept on throwing tantrums and making attempts to incriminate the investigation officers amidst attempts to twist the system with a few corrupt souls within. She stopped reporting at Panti after lying against the IPO…
…she accused the IPO of damaging her phone as an excuse to stall the investigation. She absconded and deployed a rogue team at Zone 2 to obstruct justice in the attempt to move the investigation there. Unfortunately for her the AIG at Zone 2 is just & Professional.
This was an AIG that was formerly a CP at Ogun State I own for his attention to details. @SIAF_NG has huge records of several successful investigations void of human rights abuses including murder cases solved by this individual. But I digress…
The plot to obstruct justice failed and a radio signal was sent for Panti to continue the investigation which was due to be charged to court last Friday but for her deliberate absence having been assured that the investigation will be disrupted based on her false petition…
…to Zone 2 claiming Assassination attempt by all the witnesses, petitioner’s lawyer & even the entire Panti investigating officers. It wasn’t long before the police formation realize how diabolical this character is, having also read the litany of accounts from other victims.
When she realize she has failed on all grounds and may likely be declared wanted publicly. She made herself available yesterday night and was apprehended and charged to court this morning. She has since been remanded in the Prison custody of Panti until bail conditions are met.
She will undergo COVID19 test before being taken to prison if she fails to meet her bail conditions. This however is just the State Vs Bola Aseyan in a criminal investigation and I believe a civil suit may follow concurrently given that she is a flight risk & criminal minded.
One thing is certain though in all this. It will be difficult for anyone to jump in front of any allegation forthwith without due diligence. I pray this doesn’t discourage others with genuine claims. We need to protect our men as much as we do the vulnerable women out there.
Let Justice take its course. As far as she’s concerned now she is trying hard to create an impression that Twitter is boring to justify her disappearance. Know that she has been canned. She is being processed now to be remanded in prison. Learn from this. #JailedAsOught
A video has emerged of the Philippines National Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday parading 4 Nigerian nationals in Muntinlupa City for alleged involvement in an international syndicate that hacks and siphons funds from banks, ABS-CBN Philippines reports.
In a statement on Tuesday by the National Bureau of Investigation’s Cybercrime Division chief, Vic Lorenzo, it was alleged that the four Nigerians violated the Access Device Law, Anti-Cybercrime law, and falsification of public documents.
The statement reads, “The fraudsters’ – Nigerians – transactions were traced when they hacked a system of one Philippines bank, where at least P100 million were transferred and funneled into a different account. The international syndicate is complicated to the point that they study the system’s flaws. Once they see a weakness, they will take advantage of that.
“One of the suspects’ Filipina girlfriend admitted to having used her account to deposit and withdraw money amounting to at least P2 million, which was supposedly for tuition. Blank ATM cards and bank receipts were confiscated from the suspects.”
However, the Nigerians denied the allegations, saying they were in Philippines to study and they “know nothing about the hacking incident”.

The Maiduguri Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said it had re-arraigned the Chief Executive Officer of Complete Care and Aid Foundation, Aisha Alkali Wakil, popularly known as Mama Boko Haram.
Mama Boko Haram was said to have been re-arraigned on Tuesday before Justice Aisha Kumaliya of the Borno State High Court in Maiduguri, on amended four counts bordering on conspiracy, giving false information, and cheating to the tune of N6 million.
At the sitting, prosecution counsel, Mukhtar Ali Ahmad, informed the court of a pending amended charge and urged the court to strike out the earlier charges filed on March 3 and 10, 2020, and substitute it with that of March 18, 2020.
A statement on Wednesday by the Head, Media, and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr. Dele Oyewale, indicated that Justice Kumaliya substituted the charges and ordered them to be read to the defendants.
One of the charges read, “That you, Aisha Alkali Wakil, Tahiru Alhaji Saidu Daura and Prince Lawal Shoyode, whilst being chief executive officer, programme manager and country director respectively, of Complete Care and Aid Foundation (NGO), sometime between October and November, 2018 at Maiduguri, Borno State, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, dishonestly induced one Alhaji Bukar Kachalla of Abks Ventures Limited to deliver to you a Toyota Camry 2012 Model worth N6m only under the guise of executing a contract for the purchase of the said car and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 320 (a) and punishable under Section 332 of the Penal Code Cap 102 Laws of Borno State.”
They pleaded not guilty, following which counsel for the second and third defendants, H. Waziri, prayed the court for an adjournment to enable him to study the new charges with a view to applying for a plea bargain agreement with the EFCC.
Consequently, Justice Kumaliya adjourned the matter till September 16, 2020 for commencement of trial
Mama Boko Haram was originally arraigned, alongside the Programme Manager of her Foundation, Tahiru Daura and the Country Director, Lawal Shoyode on December 4, 2019. Their trial followed their no-guilty plea to the charges.

He noted that he is aware of the law banning the sale of cannabis, insisting that it is business which must be followed with risk.
His words, “I am the owner of this farm. I learnt it in Yoruba land. When I cultivated one last year, it was stolen. So it is this year I bought seed from Yoruba land to plant new ones before I was caught.
“Indian hemp business is luck. In this farm, I can get many bags here. I do sell one bag for N20,000 depending on the area am selling it, It could be more.
“I spent N12,000 for labour in cultivating this farm. It is better for you people to kill me than destroy this farmland”.
“This is my business. I spent a lot to allow this plant grow up to this level. In the next two weeks, I am supposed to harvest it.
“Now you people have come here to destroy it. Just kill me, so that I won’t see you people destroying what I have laboured for.
“I am looking for money because I am illiterate. I don’t want to engage in armed robbery or kidnapping that is why I am into this business of Indian hemp”.
However, his plea did not stop the NDLEA from destroying the cannabis farmland.
Addressing newsmen on Wednesday after the destruction of the cannabis farmland, the Kogi State Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Mr Alfred Adewumi lamented the increasing wave of illicit use and cultivation of cannabis in the state.
Adewumi stated that the two suspects were arrested through intelligent gathering by officers of his command.
The commander noted that the latest breakthrough in the fight against illicit use of drug in Kogi State is coming three days after the command arrested the duo of Enduarance Samson and Abah Sunday for alleged possession of 36.2 kilogrammes wrap of cannabis
“What you are seeing today is certainly more than three football field put together. This is very unfortunate. I am worried about this unfortunate development. I have thought that Kogi State will not descend to this point.
“As things stand today, it will be direct self-denial to begin to say that Kogi state is not planting cannabis because the evidence itself suggests the fact that there is high planting of cannabis sativa in Kogi State. Sadly Kogi State can also now begin to rank among those state where you find cannabis sativa plantations.
“We will not relent in fighting against illicit use of drug that is why we took the fight to their doorstep. Kogi State is the gateway to many other states in the north, south, east and western parts of this country.

The charges against Navid include forming a group to act against the government, killing a security agent, and actively participating in protests in Kamerun and Shiraz in 2018.

All three brothers were found guilty at a court hearing in the city of Shiraz but only Afkari was sentenced to death.
